It’s all in the packaging

A simple little gift can be made into something wonderful just by creating some fabulous packaging. Well that’s what I think anyway.

A little while back while reading one of Makeesha’s blog posts about her stamp camp I saw this lovely fold out box that had 4 little compartments to it. Well after some searching/blog hopping I located a tutorial for it. It’s actually called a Fantasy or Stepper Box.

My eldest daughter had a birthday party to attend this past weekend for one of her friends and we’d purchased the birthday girl a pair of earrings. Now a little earring box doesn’t really say much so I decided to put the tutorial to use (instead of pushing it aside for however long until I remembered it again…) and make one of these Fantasy/Stepper boxes to present the earrings in.

I’m still loving the gorgeous Walk in the Park Designer Series paper (don’t forget the Spring Mini ends 30th November so don’t miss out) and of course the Great Friend stamp set (I’d go as far as saying this set would be my most used of any SU set in the past 3 1/2 years) so I have again used those. I made a card to match too.

and then when you take the lid off and open it out it looks like this.

To fill the other compartments I’ve added some yummy Darrell Lea chocolates.

Now wouldn’t you much rather receive a pair of earrings presented this way than just in the tiny box or pouch the jewellers supply??? I know I would.

Happy Stamping
