Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue

Idea Book & Catalogue 2009|2010

The year ahead…..

I’ve never been one to make New Year’s Resolutions as like most I just don’t keep them. Instead I like to give myself a couple of goals to work towards. I try not to select things that are too far out of reach though or even the goals won’t be achieved…..hahaha.

So what are my goals for this year?

My Stampin’ Up business:

  1. I’d love to end the year having at least 4-6 people a month attend each of my 3 classes (Stamp-A-Stack, Technique & Project) which would mean I’ll have some ‘new customers’.
  2. I’d also like to be doing at least 1 Workshop a month.
  3. I’d love to have 3 – 6 downline.
  4. I’d love to achieve all parts of Stampin’ Start this time around. I have till 30th June for this.
  5. I’m aiming for a walk across the stage for Convention 2011. Seeing my sales figures all went back to $0 upon rejoining in December 2009 I think aiming for Convention 2010 will be a bit far out of my reach.
  6. Use what I buy. Don’t horde it.

My personal life:

  1. This year in June is my 40th and I’d love to lose between 5 – 10 kg before then and be on the right track to lose a total of 13 – 18kg in total by the end of the year. I want 2010 to be the year I get myself fit and healthy. I will be aiming to do this by eating healthy and exercising more not by meal replacement. May join Weight Watchers and attend meetings not try and do it online.
  2. I want to spend more time doing fun things with my girls and hubby.
  3. Cut back dramatically on playing computer games. It’s such a time waster.
  4. Be more organised. Don’t leave things till the last minute.

My blogging goals:

  1. To post more regularly.
  2. To post more than I did last year.
  3. To leave more comments on the blogs I visit.

Stamping Group goals:

  1. To participate more often.
  2. Send more RAK/DAK cards out.
  3. Send more Birthday cards.
  4. Be more organised with Christmas Cards this year and have them in the post no later than December 1st like I did in 2008.

That’s what I have for now. I’m hoping listing them here for all to see will help me achieve them. I’m going to print this out and put it on the wall above my work table so it’s a constant reminder.

So do you have goals for 2010 you’d like to share. Maybe we can encourage each other……

  • Nik, my goals are pretty similar to you, down to the Big 4-0 this year! Here’s wishing us both the persistence to follow through.

    xx Lou

  • Hi Nikki!

Well I’m totally with you on getting myself fit and losing about 10kg! If I can do that I’d be wrapped! Am starting back walking when the kids go back to school so that will help immensley!

I want to spend less time on my computer and more time crafting! (hmmmmm not sure if that will happen! lol)

I also want to send out more cards and attempt more 3d projects!

Maybe we can encourage each other with our weight loss eh!

  • Hi Nikki. I’ve looked at your blog for a few weeks and never commented until now. When reading your goals I thought I was reading my diary. Good luck with yours and thanks for posting some beautiful work. I will continue to keep visiting.

  • Gosh Nikki…..my goals are practically identical……except I’ll be 41! LOL!!

    Hi Nikki,
I think your goals mirror how I feel exactly !!!
In my personal life I want to be fitter and more healthy as well. I started a diet two weeks ago on 4th January and I have lost a little weight already – still enthusiastic with it, so hopefully it will go well for me. I do agree, the computer can be such a time waster and I need to be more organised there with my time so I can be more creative and have things created in plenty of time instead of the last minute.

I read every one of your points for your goals this year and they are just exactly how I feel.

  • Nikki – thanks for this, my goals are pretty much the same as yours – right down to the 2011 walk, and the big 4-0 (except shhh, mine’s in a couple of weeks). Now I just need to get the blog up and running again, and get up and running again myself. Been ages since I’ve ‘visited’ you, looking GREAT!

  • This is a great site, I love the theme you are using. I Stumbled it for you and bookmarked it on Digg.

  • I’ve really enjoyed reading your articles. You obviously know what you are talking about! Your site is so easy to navigate too, I’ve bookmarked it in my favourites :-D
