Domestic Pocket….

Hello everyone and a Happy New Year to you all.

I’ve been absent for some time but hope to get back into things now. The end of school last year was a very busy time, then of course we had Christmas, another trip to Fiji with the family, a few more weeks of school holidays and now back to a new routine with my girls at 3 different schools instead of just the 2. This means some earlier starts to the day and some earlier finishes for school times but hopefully from this week we are all organised and know what we’re doing.

Last Tuesday I had my first workshop for the year and this particular group of ladies love the Big Shot Dies so I always try and show at least one. This time around I chose to showcase the Petite Pocket Die but I didn’t want to use it as a simple pocket but to show them what else they can make with it.

In preparing for this workshop I did a Google search for Petite Pocket Die and found some great things to make and some with tutorials.

Here are my samples that I made for the workshop.

SAMSUNG

This picture isn’t the best as I forgot to take a photo before I left home so it’s taken on my phone at the workshop.

I really love the colour combination of Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight that I’ve used in these items. The colours come from the Domestic Goddess DSP that I’ve used.

The box on the left came from Catherine Harwood’s site which can be found here complete with instructions.

The other box comes from Betty Traciak’s site which you can find here with instructions too.

To decorate and complete both boxes I’ve used the Blossom Party die. I stamped the 3 larger flowers with Versamark Ink and the Dot to Dot stamp and then added a Calypso Coral Printed Designer Brad to them and mounted to the box using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Unfortunately I hadn’t realized before I made these samples that I didn’t have more of this DSP print to remake them exactly at the workshop. I’ve remade them instead using the Paisley Petals DSP which I will share with you tomorrow. The hostess had a choice of which set she could keep as her gift and she chose this one. It was my favourite of the 2 as well but it means I can’t take more photos to share more details.
