Would you like to WIN a Big Shot?

The end of March is the end of the Stampin’ Up Sales year and I’d really like to reach a goal I had set for myself but I need some help.

So what’s my goal?

Another $1,500 before the end of the month.

Can I achieve this??

With your help, I hope so.

What do you need to do?

Place a $100 (or more) order with me and not only will you receive a FREE Sale-A-Bration set of your choice (for every $100) but you will also go into the draw to WIN A FREE BIG SHOT  (valued at $179.95). Already own a Big Shot?? No problem. You can choose Stampin’ Up product (Big Shot dies, Embossing Folders, Stamp sets and/or Accessories) to the same value.

This is open to Australian residents only. Orders can be shipped directly to you anywhere in Australia. Postage is $5.95 or 5% (whichever is the greater) and does not form part of the $100 order. Payment can be made by Credit Card or Direct Deposit to my bank account.

To place an order either phone H: 02 9620 9092  M: 0418 218 467 or email. Please do not include your credit card details in an email but include your phone number and I will call for details.

So would anyone like to help me out??

Edited to add: I’ve almost reached my goal so thanks to those that have already ordered along with my Autumn/Winter mini preorders. I’m just 3 orders short now. Can anyone help me?? Remember you could WIN a BIG SHOT or FREE Merchandise of your choice to the same value if you already own one.  new signature

Butterfly Birthday

My eldest daughter has a birthday party to attend for her best friend this afternoon so last night I needed to make up a gift box for her present. I was also asked to make the card. My girls do have a good supply of their own Stampin’ Up goodies but seeing I was making the gift box I’d just make the card to coordinate.

I managed to make the gift box last night which was an idea that came from Sarah Wills’ gorgeous Carton Style gift box which you can see and also download a tutorial for here. Unfortunately my gift box needed to be a little bigger than the one in Sarah’s tutorial so I had to alter how I did mine but the outcome looks just the same. Of course I’ve used different colours, stamps and embellishments too.

Here’s my version of the gift box.

If you’re a regular visitor to my blog you may notice that I’ve used the same colour combination as in my last post creation here. Some of my stamping buddies were looking at this card at our stamp night last night when my daughter was selecting the colour combination for the gift box and when she saw it she wanted those same colours. Seeing how her friends favourite colour is blue the Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight combo would work perfectly.

The completed gift box measures 7.5cm (or 2 15/16”) wide, 7.5cm (or 2 15/16”) deep and 11.5cm (or 4 1/8”) high (not including the handles) which makes for plenty of room for the Nutrimetics gift we’ve packed inside.

I’ve used the Brights Pattern Stack DSP in Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight for layering. The Happy Birthday is from the Punch Bunch Sale-A-Bration set. My daughters friend also likes butterflies so I’ve used the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die for some embellishments and topped it off with some retired Melon Mambo Polka Dot ribbon.

I sat down to make the card this morning and decided to use this weeks Cards & Things Sketch Challenge #64 as my layout for the card.

Here’s the layout provided.

Keeping with the colour scheme, stamp set & embellishments used on the Gift box this is what I created.

Just Believe CASE

While doing a little blog surfing the other day I came across this gorgeous card on Bron Heslop’s blog. I knew I just had to CASE it.

P1000401

So here it is…..

I’ve changed the colours, the sentiment and left off the Rhinestones only to then realise I used 3/8” Taffeta ribbon instead of the Organza like Bron.  I’ve used Regal Rose on this card.

I don’t mind it with the Taffeta but decided to make another with the Organza and see which I preferred.

P1000402

I’ve changed the colours again. This time I’ve used Concord Crush. The sentiment has been changed back to the original one that Bron used.

In the photo the Organza looks white but in real life, to me anyway, it isn’t as white as the Whisper White card.

So I’m still undecided. They both look nice though.

I needed some cards to send out for a yahoo group I’m in and as this card if very quick to make up I thought it would be perfect. I didn’t want them all the same though so I’ve used different colours and different ribbons. They all have the same sentiment though and that is ‘thinking of you’.

P1000403

For these one’s, if I had a coordinating ribbon (current or retired) I’ve used that on the card and if not I’ve just used the 3/8” Whisper White Taffeta.

The colour son these 3 are Rose Red, Baja Breeze and Regal Rose.

P1000404

I’ve gone with In-Colours on these 2 using Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait.

P1000405

For the final colour combinations I’ve gone with Daffodil Delight and Real Red.

I think I really like the coordinated ribbon ones even more…..

What’s your preference?

Always Vintage

Does anyone else out there find it hard to select a ‘Blog Post Title’?

Maybe it’s just me, but I can never think of anything great so just usually go with a colour I’ve used in the creation I’m going to share or the stamp set name, or sometimes a mixture of both which is what this one is.

You may have noticed I’ve been posting 2 creations a day lately. I haven’t been receiving many comments so I’m not sure if you like that I’m posting more, or even if you like what you are seeing. I’d really, really appreciate some comments and let me know what you think. We all need a little encouragement at times and I’ve been trying my best of late to leave more comments on the blogs I view.

The card I’m going to share with you now I’ve made for the Utah Divas International Blog UDI Color Challenge #20.

At first I wasn’t too sure about these colours. I like them all individually but wasn’t sure what mix of each to use as I didn’t want my creation as dark as the dress for the inspiration.

After deciding which stamp set to use, selecting another layout to try from Card Positioning Systems (this time CPS#74) and having a little play around this is what I ended up with.

Sweet Summer Mojo

Over on Stampin’ Up in Oz we have weekly challenges. Last week we had a colour challenge using Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive & Pumpkin Pie. I didn’t get around to creating something for it during that week but when I saw this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch I decided to complete 2 challenges in one and also use one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets called ‘Sweet Summer’.

Here’s the Mojo Monday Sketch 175.

And this is what I cam up with.

P1000392

I’ve left a sentiment off this card for 2 reasons. One is, I’m not sure it needs it. Two is, I’m not sure where I’d position it.

Any ideas?? Or are you like me and not sure it needs one??

Supplies:
Stamp sets: Sweet Summer
Card: Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Watercolour Paper, Old Olive Patterns DSP (Brights Pattern Stack)
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie 3/8” Taffeta ribbon, Circle Scissor Plus, Blender Pen, Big Shot, Lattice Embossing Folder.

Till next time…..
