These colours made me think ‘Boys’ and then while deciding on a stamp set I came across ‘Party Hearty’ and thought ‘Birthday’.
Considering it was only a week or so ago I was saying I struggle with ‘Male’ cards I think I’m starting to ‘not struggle’ any more…..lol
I’ve used a sketch from Card Positioning Systems and it’s #180.
Here’s what I came up with.
What do you think??
All layers of the main image (the centre piece too) is all mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it a bit of a lift.
Very simple but I think very effective.
Supplies: Stamps: Party Hearty Card: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Old Olive Patterns DSP (Brights Patterns Stack) Ink: Old Olive & Pacific Point Markers Accessories: 3/4” Circle Punch.
When I saw the Sketch for Utah Divas International this week (January 22nd), I knew exactly which set I was going to play with. Another new set for me from the Idea Book & Catalogue 2010|2011 called ‘To A Classic’.
Here’s the Sketch.
I’ve actually created 2 cards, same layout, stamp set and colours, just in a different order. Colours have come from the Colour Coach, of course…..
This is my first card.
This one has some Patterns DSP which I like but I also thought, after making this one, that it would be a nice quick card suitable for a Stamp-A-Stack but using that DSP would make it an expensive card.
So along comes my 2nd card.
Colours are swapped around and in place of the Patterns DSP I’ve used a background stamp.
I’m still undecided if I prefer one over the other.
Do you have a preference??
Supplies:
Stamps: To A Classic, Sanded Background
Card: Not Quite Navy, Sahara Sand, Poppy Parade, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Poppy Parade
Accessories: Blender Pen
I would have to say one of my favourite Stampin’ Up! tools to use these days is the wonderful Colour Coach. It’s so much nicer and easier to use than the previous version. It’s definitely something I recommend everyone should own.
I’ve been making myself use some new/unused/hardly inked stamp sets of late with my creations. I’m on a mission this year to not own any stamp sets that haven’t seen ink when they retire. If I manage to do this you’ll see lots of variety around here…..lol

This is the last of my ‘male’ cards that I have created over the past week. For this one I’ve used another Clean & Simple Sketch and that is #79.
The colour selection is from, none other than, the Colour Coach.
Supplies: Stamps: Seaworthy, On Your Birthday, Sanded Card: Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Whisper White Ink, Marina Mist, Night of Navy Accessories: 1 1/4” Square Punch
I’m still on my ‘Male’ card run at the moment and today’s card is using the Nature’s Nest stamp set. I’ve selected a Sketch from Splitcoaststampers and that is SC90.
3 pieces of cardstock, 2 stamps and 2 ink colours. Another very quick and simple card.
The colour combination is another from the Colour Coach. What else????
Supplies: Stamp sets: Nature’s Nest, Well Scripted Card: Cajun Craze, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla Ink: Basic Gray, Cajun Craze
I’ve also considered lowering the sentiment a little and adding some Hemp Twine between the image and sentiment. Would still keep it masculine.
