A Friend Like You

Starting today, Marelle Taylor’s Stampers Anonymous Team, will be hosting a Team Blog Hop on the 14th of each month. Our Hop will hopefully inspire you with new ideas and products to create with.

This month we have a nice easy sketch to work with.

Sketch #1

This sketch was created from the card on page 97 of the Annual Catalogue. Lets see how everyone has adapted the sketch to suit other stamp sets.

I’ve created a very simple card using the gorgeous ‘Love What You Do’ Stamp set.

I stamped the background wash in Pear Pizzazz, the flower image in Memento Tuxedo Black and then Gorgeous Grape (stamped off once) to give some colour to the flowers. My sentiment has also been stamped in Gorgeous Grape. I’ve used the Detailed Trio Punch on the corners and the Everyday Label Punch for the sentiment.

You can make your way around the hop or back to the previous blog by clicking the buttons below. Feel free to leave us comments and let us know what you like about our creations along the way.

You may have arrived from Indah’s blog but if not you can start here and work your way around by following the Hop List included in each of our posts.

Now for my creation for this week.

I’ve used the gorgeous Ruby from Whimsy Stamps on my card today.

I’ve stamped her onto X-Press it Blending Card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copic Markers.

I’ve added a Magnolia Doohickeys Die on the side of my main image.

This is teamed with some gorgeous DSP, a Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly Punch and some flowers.

My sentiment is on a tag at the top of my card that slides out.

Here’s a close up of my image.

And I’ve finished off the inside with some matching DSP.

Stamps: Ruby (Wee Stamps by Whimsy Stamps), Sentiment – Lots of Thanks (SU)
Card: Soft Sky & Whisper White (SU), X-Press It Blending Card

ESAD Autumn/Winter Mini Blog Hop

What is ESAD?

ESAD stands for "Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators" and it is an on-line group just for Australian and New Zealand Stampin Up demonstrators.

We so love what we do and not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends, and wonderful blog visitors, but we share our love for what we do with each other as demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know-how, and cyberstamps, and we are always there to help and support each other when it is needed.

So if you are a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand, then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.

Now that the business side of this post is done so let’s move on to the ‘creative’ side.

You may have arrived here from Alisa Tilsner’s blog, but if you are starting here, don’t worry…..you can make the complete circuit just by following the links at the end of each post. There are 25 stops along the way, so that’s plenty of inspiration for you showcasing new products from the Autumn/Winter Mini released today. If you’d like your own copy of the Autumn/Winter mini please feel free to email me and I’ll pop one in the post. You can also view it online here.

My creations are made using a new stamp set, matching punch, some gorgeous new designer series paper and the new Adorning Accent Edgelits. With Mother’s Day just over a month away I decided to create with this in mind.

I’ve only had time to make this card and covered notebook but will probably add something else to it to complete the gift. Everyone needs a little choccie treat too now don’t they.

Here’s a closer look at the card. Isn’t that Adorning Accent Edgelit gorgeous? I really love the colours and design of this print in the Twitterpatted DSP pack too.

Stamp sets: Mixed Bunch, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Card: Basic Gray, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Twitterpatted DSP
Ink: Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Blossom, Word Window, Modern Label & 3/4” Circle Punches, Big Shot, Adorning Accent Edgelits, Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Dies, Basic Jewels – Pearls

I hope you like what I’ve created and hopefully I’ve inspired you in some way. I’d love for you to leave me a comment and let me know.

You’re now off to visit Peggy Quarmby’s blog and see what wonderful creations she’s made.

Till next time….
