Sweet Summer Mojo

Over on Stampin’ Up in Oz we have weekly challenges. Last week we had a colour challenge using Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive & Pumpkin Pie. I didn’t get around to creating something for it during that week but when I saw this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch I decided to complete 2 challenges in one and also use one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets called ‘Sweet Summer’.

Here’s the Mojo Monday Sketch 175.

And this is what I cam up with.

I’ve left a sentiment off this card for 2 reasons. One is, I’m not sure it needs it. Two is, I’m not sure where I’d position it.

Any ideas?? Or are you like me and not sure it needs one??

Supplies:
Stamp sets: Sweet Summer
Card: Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Watercolour Paper, Old Olive Patterns DSP (Brights Pattern Stack)
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Pumpkin Pie 3/8” Taffeta ribbon, Circle Scissor Plus, Blender Pen, Big Shot, Lattice Embossing Folder.

Till next time…..

For You

I’ve had another play with the Inkspiration Colour Challenge #54 for this week and this time created a very simple card using the Clean & Simple Sketch #45a.

P1000384

As you can see, there’s only a small amount of stamping and layering in this card. I’ve use another of the Sale-A-bration stamp sets for this card called ‘Punch Bunch’. This image actually has a scallop border around the flower but I decided to punch out a Scallop Circle and use the 1 3/4” circle punch to punch out the flower and sentiment from the image.

As you may have gathered by the stamp set name all the images coordinate with one of the Stampin’ Up punches. There is one for the Scallop Circle (this image I’ve used), 2-step Owl punch, 1” circle punch, Large Tag Punch and the Square Scallop Punch. I love sets that coordinate with punches as it makes it much quicker to create your card when you don’t need to cut things out freehand.

Supplies:
Stamps: Punch Bunch
Card: Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride DSP (In-Colour Hostess Level 1)
Ink: Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz & Early Espresso Markers
Accessories: 1 3/4” Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Early Espresso Brads (Neutrals Collection), Paper Piercing tool & Matt Pack.

Blushing Bliss

For today’s card I’ve teamed 2 challenges again with another of the new gorgeous Sale-A-Bration stamp sets.

The sketch comes from Karen Giron and is this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge SSSC 101.

The colours are from this weeks Inkspirations Challenge and is Colour Challenge #54.

This is what I came up with using these 2 challenges.

I’ve actually stamped the ‘Bliss’ twice. First time in Blushing Bride and then again in Early Espresso stamping slightly off from the first stamp. Here’s a close-up.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: Bliss
Card: Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz & Blushing Bride DSP from the In-Colour DSP Pack (Hostess Level 1)
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Blushing Bride
Accessories: Nestabilities (Non-SU)
