I’m playing along with a ‘new to me’ sketch challenge today and that is with Creative Sketches. This weeks challenge is #CS22.
This is the sketch provided.
I’m using the Elegant Soiree DSP and coordinating cardstock & ink, along with the Friends 24-7 stamp set.
This is what I came up with.
I really love the colour combination of the Elegant Soiree DSP and it’s been a while since I’ve used the Friends 24-7 stamp set so it was nice to ink it up again.
Supplies: Stamp sets: Friends 24-7, En Francais Card: Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla, Elegant Soiree DSP Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Versamark, Baja Breeze, Old Olive Accessories: Vintage Brads, Crochet Trim – Chantilly
I’m hoping to get a few more challenges done today so check back later for more creations.
Supplies: Stamp sets: Elegant Thank You Card: Peach Parfait, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Subtles Patterns Stack – Baja Breeze & Pink Pirouette Ink: Baja Breeze Accessories: 2 3/8” Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4” Circle Punch, Whisper White 3/8” Taffeta ribbon.
I’m quite happy how this one turned out. Initially I was going to use the ‘For You Flower’ stamp but I wasn’t happy with the look. I think this is simple but nice.
Sorry about my sudden disappearance, especially since I’d been so active for a few weeks. I was hoping to keep that up until I had some family issues (teenagers and their attitudes) to deal with which took me away from everything for a while. Things are settling down and last week I managed to create a few things but those one’s I can’t share with you as they were for my Secret Sister swap over on Stampin’ Up in Oz. However I did create a birthday card last Friday for my wonderful friend and neighbour Meighan, which I’m going to share with you now. I had purchased Meighan a bunch of gorgeous wildflowers earlier in the day and the colours made me think of Concord Crush which I know is a current favourite of Meighan’s so I’ve used that in her card.
As I had decided to use Concord Crush I went with the Lap of Luxury DSP, coordinating cardstock & Ink, the Style Beautiful stamp set along with Well Scripted for the sentiment. Here’s what I ended up with.
So what do you think??
Supplies: Stamp sets: Style Beautiful, Well Scripted Card: Concord Crush, Pretty In Pink, Very Vanilla, Lap of Luxury Ink: Pretty in Pink, Concord Crush Accessories: Pretty in Pink 3/8” Taffeta Ribbon, Scallop Edge Punch, Nestabilities (non-SU)
I’ll be back in the more with a card for the Just Add Ink challenge for this week.
It’s a dreary raining day here in Sydney today but that makes for the perfect day to sit and create. So that’s what I’ve been doing.
I’ve got a list of weekly challenges printed out with dates I need to get them done by and so many of them need to be up in the next few days. To try and get as many of them done as I can, if I can combine a colour and sketch challenge, I do.
Today’s 1st card is doing just that.
I have a new challenge on my agenda that my lovely downline Sandra posted on her blog recently so thought I’d give that one a go. This is the jac-inks Papercraft Challenges challenge #1.
The challenge they have this week is a colour challange.
Neutrals + one other colour.
For the Sketch Challenge I’ve gone with is this weeks Mojo Monday 177.
I knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to use for this card, however the initial colours I thought I’d used changed. I’m so glad I did change them though as I really love how this card turned out. It fell together a lot easier than I thought it was going to.
I hope you like it as much as I do.
