Where is May going???

I can’t believe I haven’t blogged for over 2 weeks. This month is just disappearing on me but then again the whole year has been that way so far. My daughter’s Disco party was a hit and her friends all loved the Party Bags. Our school P&C Mother’s Day stall went well also and the Mother’s Day cards I made were appreciated.

This evening I’m heading into the city for a 3 night stay so I can attend the Australian & New Zealand Stampin’ Up Convention. This will be my 4th time attending, which means I haven’t missed one yet. I’m just as excited this year as I have been every other year. Of course I love the actual Convention but I love the social side too of catching up with interstate demos I only see at Convention, meeting up with other NSW demos that again I don’t usually get to see throughout the year and of course meeting new demos and those I know only from online groups. I also enjoy the 3 day break from my family. This is usually the only break I get away from my family through the year so I think I earn the right to say that…..hahaha. I’m sure there are others out there that understand where I’m coming from.

Over the next few days I have some posts scheduled to share some creations I’ve made and also my April Secret Sister gifts I received. I still have a few things on my plate until the 2nd week of June so I can’t say I’ll be back regularly just yet but I will try not to go another 2 weeks without posting again.

My first post will be tomorrow morning so come back then and check it out.

Till next time…..

Aren’t these adorable…..

Haute Couture bags 1

After seeing Leonie’s wonderful creations in the recent ESAD Blog Hop I just had to toddle over to Creations by AR and purchase the tutorial for myself so I could make some. I already had a use for them so I didn’t waste any time. I actually printed the pattern out for one to take to my girls swimming clinic this morning so I could cut it out and start constructing while I was there. I have only made these 2 up so far, but I’m sure I’ll be making more. Maybe I could even plan a class to show you how to make them…. Anyone interested?? Email me so we can arrange a convenient date.

Now what other DSP will they look good in????

Supplies:
Left:
Bella Rose DSP, Flower Brads, Riding Hood Red Taffeta ribbon.
Right:
Haiku DSP, Antique Brass Build-A-Brads, 1/2” Circle Punch, Linen Thread.

Till next time….

Are you free……

This coming Saturday I’m having a casual drop in day and if you ‘are free’ then why not drop by. Have a cuppa, some nibbles, browse my creations or just have a chat.

Hopefully you are all aware that the Summer Mini Catalogue ends on 31st March, along with Sale-A-Bration, and have placed any order for items you wanted. If not this will be your opportunity to see some more creations of mine using some products from the Summer Mini and to place those orders so you don’t miss out.

I will also have some ‘sneak peeks’ from the upcoming Autumn/Winter mini released on April 1st on display and you will be able to take home a copy of the catalogue for yourself. Seeing that Easter falls at the same time as the Mini’s release I’m holding off on my Launch till Saturday 24th April and will post more details on that over the next week.

There won’t be any Make & Takes for you to do on Saturday but I will be creating throughout the day and will be demoing the Big Shot for those that wish to see it in action.

I will also have a list of the Product Shares I will be running for the Autumn/Winter Mini, class dates & signups, and some other offers too.

When: Saturday 27th March

Where: 134 Frederick Street, Lalor Park NSW

Time: 10am – 3pm

So come along and say hello and of course you are welcome to bring a friend.

Now if you can’t make it and would like a copy of the Autumn/Winter Mini posted out to you just email me with your address and I’ll pop one in the post.

January Secret Sister gift

I only just realised that I haven’t shared my Stampin’ Up in Oz Secret Sister gift I received for January with you all yet. I’ve been side tracked preparing for my Sale-A-Bration Party on Saturday. If you’re interested in coming along you can find more details here, but you must let me know by tomorrow night otherwise I can’t guarantee I’ll have enough gifts ready. I do have some other gifts left over from past parties but I’d like to make you all something new.

For January the requirements were that we had to make 3 handmade gifts (1 could be a card) and to try and use the recipients favourite colour/s. I listed my favourite colour as Kiwi Kiss and mentioned that I liked all the In Colours. This is what I received.

Gifts 1

The two smaller items where packed inside the large tin. I hadn’t seen these tins before but I’m told they will hold A4 cardstock. Doesn’t it all look wonderful.

The item on the left is a 2 year planner. I haven’t seen these around before either but it will come in very handy and I won’t need to carry my diary around in my handbag anymore as I can use this and I can see when I’m available and what I have on at a glance.  The item on the right is a chocolate slider and still has the Kit Kat inside. I did think it would definitely have been eaten by now but I’m trying to be good and cut out a lot of the rubbish I eat….(remember my goals post).

Thank you again Secret Sister if you are reading this. It was a wonderful gift to receive.

Till next time…..

Happy Stamping
