Anything Goes…. so why not Valentines.

Last month I was a Guest Designer at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog and this month I join the Design Team for a 4 month term.

I am so looking forward to being part of the team. I really enjoyed creating as a Guest Designer so know I’ll have just as much fun, if not more creating as a DT member.

I’ve already started posting more regularly (granted for those of you that follow for SU creations there hasn’t been a lot but that will change too) and it’s only going to get better.

Onto our challenge…..

Our first challenge for 2014 at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog is

Anything Goes.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

The Cutting Cafe

so I have chosen to create a Valentines Card & Gift using 2 of their files.

I know it’s a little early but it will be here before we know it and at least I’ll be prepared.

I’ve used the lovely Bo Bunny Love Letters DSP on my creations.

A little bit of card, a sentiment cut on my Silhouette Cameo, some ribbon, bling and of course some chocolates.

The Cutting Cafe files I’ve used are Heart Shaped Cards Set 2 and the Heart Goodie Bag Holder.

Here’s some more photos ….

The card.

I’ve added some bling around the edges of the hearts for a little more definition and to jazz it up a little as I was keeping it reasonably simple.

And the Treat Bag.

Love the heart cut out on the front of this bag.

I haven’t used an image on these creations as I wanted the gorgeous paper to stand out. I love how these turned out and hope hubby does too.

Supplies:
Card: Cherry Cobbler & Very Vanilla (SU), Love Letters DSP (Bo Bunny)
Accessories: Silhouette Cameo, Rhinestones, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding (SU)

I’d love for you to leave me a comment and let me know what you think and don’t forget to stop by Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT have created.

Family Valentines

I haven’t had much time to create today as I’ve had to clean house unfortunately. Once that was done I then needed to duck out to the Post Office and send out the Blog Candy to the winner (it’s on it’s way Heather) and then I needed to go buy my hubby’s birthday present for tomorrow. After all that was done I’ve managed to just scrap in some crafting time to put together a little Valentine’s gift for my 4 girls and a little something for hubby.

Here’s what our girls came home to after school. I’d placed them in their bedrooms on their bedside tables.

For hubby I just made up a little nugget tin with some Toffees and Chocolate Hearts.

The little tags are all the same. I’ve stamped the Heart stems from the Love Defined stamp set in Pink Pirouette, then stamped the Love You much from Well Scripted on the bottom. The red hearts (and the blue ones in the nugget tin) are chocolates that I purchased from Darrell Lea.

Just  a little something small for everyone.

I received a Valentines Toblerone Chocolate this morning along with some scratchies. Unfortunately nothing to report on those……lol

Now I have the rest of the afternoon and the evening to create so hopefully I’ll have another post later.

Till next time….

Love You

First card up for today is the Diva Coffee Break Designs Colour Challenge #214.

There are quite a few challenges out there this week related to Valentines and to me, that’s what these colours are calling for.

I had a different stamp set and idea in mind when I first started out to make this card, but it just wasn’t working so I ended up picking up my ‘I Heart Hearts’ stamp set and created this very simple card.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: I Heart Hearts, Well Scripted (Summer Mini)
Card: Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Whisper White, Subtles Patterns Stack – Pink Pirouette
Ink: Versamark, Real Red
Accessories: Corner Rounder Punch.

Till next time…..

Love You Much….

I’m playing along with this weeks Case Study Challenge #24 for this post. I don’t think I’ve participated in one of these challenges before and I usually avoid Inspiration Challenges altogether but I’m going to try and not shy away from them so much anymore.

Here’s the card that we needed to use for Inspiration this week, which is made by Mercy.

And here’s my take on the challenge.

I’ve gone with a Valentine theme seeing how it’s not too long off now. I even dusted off my sewing machine and did some stitching which I haven’t done in ‘I don’t know how long’.  Now my machine in accessible again I might try and do a little more, more often.

Supplies:
Stamps: I Heart Hearts, Well Scripted
Card: Basic Black, Whisper White, Blushing Bride Patterns DSP (In-Color Patterns Stack)
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Real Red, Blushing Bride Marker.
Accessories: Real Red 3/8” Taffeta ribbon.

Till next time….
