Another Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #5 card

March 3, 2009 | 6 comments

I’ve already shared 2 cards with you for Makeesha’s Sketch Challenge #5 here but after seeing Sarah-Jane’s gorgeous card (which you can check out here) she inspired me to make the card below which is for my best friends birthday tomorrow. I’m really hoping she doesn’t visit my blog before I pop over and see her tonight or I’ll have spoiled the surprise.

This is the sketch again from Makeesha

Now I already knew my friend likes the Le Jardin Designer Series Paper (don’t forget this is on the retirement list) and she already has the Carte Postale Stamp set (which is also on the retirement list) so I decided to use those for her card and this is what I came up with.

Carte Postale 2

Stamp sets: Carte Postale, Sincere Salutations
Card: River Rock, So Saffron textured, Very Vanilla, Le Jardin Designer Series Paper
Ink: River Rock & So Saffron inkpads & markers.
Accessories: River Rock double-stitched ribbon, Round Tab Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8” Circle Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This is really lovely – what a great way to use this stamp set – shame it’s retiring now!

  2. Dani Fender

I’ve never been a huge catre postale fan but am loving this card. The colours, the stamp set, everything. Great work!

  3. Scrapin Mel

This is lovely Nicole, aren’t challenges fun

  4. Pam

Wow! I’m with Dani on not being a big fan of Carte Postale or Le Jardin, but I love the card!

  5. Makeesha Byl

WOW Nikki, they just keep getting better! I LOVE this card, and the colours, paper, and stamps work so beautifully together! LOVE IT! THanks for playing so many times! Love Keesh x

Oooohhh, I love this and I’ve just ordered that DSP! Thanks for the inspiration. Very sad to see Carte Postale on the retired list.
