Thank you, but……

I love that so many people visit my blog. Well that’s what my stat counter is telling me anyway, but I’m wondering if you are liking what you see?

Why do I ask this?

Not too many of you are leaving me comments.

Comments are something I’ve been slack with in the past too but I’m trying to improve that this year. If you aren’t fussed on what you see then obviously don’t leave me a message. It’s not that I can’t take criticism but I myself only leave nice comments for things I like.

So if you do like what you see could you please (pretty please with sugar on top….hahaha) try and leave me a comment from time to time. At least then I’ll know you enjoy visiting and seeing what I’m up to and hopefully you are coming back to see more.

My post last night showed you the birthday card I made for my mum and mentioned that it was a variation of one of my April Stamp-A-Stack classes. Well I’m here to show you the 2 cards we will be making. You will actually make 4 of each design during the class which is being held on Tuesday 13th April and there will be a morning session and an evening session available. If you’d like to book in to the class you can email me or phone on 0418 218 467. Cost of the class is $15 if you bring your own snail adhesive or $20 if you use mine. All other materials + envelopes supplied. I can also bring this class to you if you have a group of 6 or more.

This version of the card using the Vintage Vogue stamp set has a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set (also being released tomorrow) and has Happy Mother’s Day which is punched out using the word window punch. Teeny Tiny Sentiments has 24 images in the set, not all appropriate for this card but lots of others that are, so you could change the sentiment on each card rather than have 4 Mother’s Day cards. Most people only need 1 or 2.

The other card for this month is a CASE (minus a few bits) from the main Idea Book & Catalogue and is appropriate for males. The verse is from the same set as the main image and that is from the Seaworthy stamp set. You can add any sentiment inside the card so it could be used for Birthday, Father’s Day or just for someone special to let them know you are thinking of them.

So what do you think?? Will you leave me a comment????

Don’t forget to come back tonight at 9pm Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time (that’s about 7 1/2 hours from now) to check out the StampersAnonymous team blog hop.

Some upcoming events…..

I’m sure you realise that we have a new Autumn/Winter Mini catalogue being released on Thursday April 1st (which happens to be my mum’s birthday) for the Australian & New Zealand Stampin’ Up! market. So what does that mean apart from some wonderful new products??

Blog Hops.

Yes, it is plural.

To start with, the team I’m part of which is run by the very talented and wonderful Marelle Taylor is holding a Blog Hop commencing at 9pm March 31st. Yep. That’s tomorrow night, so not long to wait now. We have 13 of our team participating in the Blog Hop and a special guest stamper, Teneale Williams, joining us too. Something new to our blog hop this time round, apart from Teneale that is, is that we are offering some ‘Blog Candy’. Details of how you can win will be included in the Blog Hop posts.

The next Blog Hop will be the ESAD-SU one which I will be participating in at 8am April 7th. They will also be having one at 8am April 1st and you can start that one from my fellow StampersAnonymous team mate, Juliette Chapman’s blog.

Would you like a sneak peek now??? No it’s not a sneak peek of my projects, you’ll have to come back and do the blog hops to see those, but it is a peek of a slight variation of one of the cards you can make at my Stamp-A-Stack class in April and it uses some of the gorgeous new products from the Autumn/Winter Mini. I have varied the card slightly for my mum’s birthday card with the sentiment.

For this card I’ve used a new stamp set, a lovely new In Color and a Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

What do you think??

Here’s how I finished the inside of the card.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: Vintage Vogue, On Your Birthday
Card: Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla, Pale Plum
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Pale Plum, Mellow Moss
Accessories: Large Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Clear Rhinestone Brads, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder.

Till next time….

More Easter Baskets…..

In my last post I mentioned I’d be back today to share an Easter Basket I’d made using something being released in the Autumn/Winter mini on 1st April. Well I do have that to share but first I’m going to show you what I did this afternoon.

Yep. I got all the Easter Baskets made for my daughters friends. I did put a limit on 3 each so that’s a total of 12 baskets all up. I decided not to go with the Punch Bunny’s as they would have taken forever and I can use my time on other creations instead so I’ll have more to share with you all.

I’ve kept with the Tea Party DSP theme I seem to be using on my Easter Baskets. I just love the colours and think it’s the most appropriate for Easter in the DSP we have available.

I’ve embellished them with the ‘for you on Easter’ stamp from the Eggcoutrements set which is only available till 31st March. This stamp is so quick to use as it fits the Designer Label punch.

Supplies:
Stamp set: Eggcoutrement
Card: Almost Amethyst, So Saffron, Pretty In Pink, Certainly Celery, Tea Party DSP
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Almost Amethyst
Accessories: Designer Label Punch, Pretty in Pink brads (Soft Subtles), So Saffron brads (Rich Regals), Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Now to show my other Easter Basket.

As you probably know by now Stampin’ Up! will be releasing the Big Shot for sale in Australia & New Zealand in the Autumn/Winter Mini on 1st April. One of the dies that will be available is the Scallop Envelope die. This die is exclusive to Stampin’ Up! so you can only order it through a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator like me and the many others in Australia & New Zealand of course. Obviously this die can be used to make ‘envelopes’ but it is rather small so wanted to find what other uses it would have so I went blog surfing and came across Mary Ellen Scott’s blog with this wonderful project. I’ve CASED it and made mine into an Easter Basket.

So what do you think?? Isn’t it great and what a wonderful use for the Scallop Envelope die. I’ve used 6 Scallop Envelopes to make this basket and there are other variations out their using just 4.

Supplies:
Stamp set: Eggcoutrements
Card: So Saffron, Tea Party DSP
Inks: Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Pretty In Pink Taffeta ribbon

Till next time……
