Over on Stampin’ Up in Oz we’ve started on Weekly Challenges for the year which is something new to the group. This weeks challenge is ‘Water Colouring’. I love water colouring myself, but will admit I don’t do it often enough. I’m really looking forward to playing with my Watercolour Crayons now that the new colour packs are available but for this card I made for the challenge I’ve gone with Inkpads & Aqua Painter.

Seeing how next month we celebrate Valentine’s Day I thought I’d actually make my hubby a card this year (I know that sounds strange and even a bit terrible but I usually don’t bother) and opted to use the Build-A-Roo stamp set which I was yet to ink up. I was hoping not to make the card look too ‘girly’ so chose a colour combination from the Colour Coach that hopefully I could pull of to be at least a little masculine. Of course I wanted my Kangaroo to be a brown, so I chose Soft Suede and went with the colour combination of Soft Suede, Baja Breeze & Cherry Cobbler.

This is the end result.

As we don’t have any Baja Breeze ribbon anymore I’ve used a retired one. I also made some Faux Brads using the 2-Step Owl Punch and Crystal Effects.

Stamp sets: Build-A-Roo, Occasional Greetings
Card: Cherry Cobbler, Watercolour Paper, Soft Suede Patterns DSP (Neutrals Paper Stack)
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jig, 2-Step Owl Punch, Aqua Painter, Crystal Effects, Baja Breeze Ribbon(retired).

I’ve continued the theme to the inside of the card:

Hopefully hubby will like it.

Till next time….
