A Note of Thanks

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been trying to use things I haven’t used (or hardly used) before in my creations. Of course some things have been but on a whole a lot of it’s new. It could be a stamp set, designer series paper, colour, Big Shot item or just an embellishment. I’m determined to not own anything that hasn’t been used when our IB&C retires at the end of August. I have been saying this for the past 2 years and it never happens but at the moment I’m on a roll and hope to keep it that way.

So for the card I’m sharing with you today I’m using the Woodland Walk designer series paper which I haven’t used before. I’ll say up front that I’m not 100% sure if I like this card yet but it is growing on me. It might just be the fact that I’m not a lover of Wild Wasabi. It’s probably my least favourite (along with Garden Green) of all the SU current colours.

I’ve used this weeks Clean & Simple Sketch #125 shown below.

Isn’t this a great sketch for a nice quick card.

I think I’ll play a little more with this over the next few days with some other dsp and see what I come up with.

Here’s my first attempt though…..

Very few supplies used on this. It’s just Woodland Walk dsp, Wild Wasabi Cardstock, Thank You Kindly stamp set, Chocolate Chip inkpad plus the Stamp-a-ma-jig.

Till next time…

Great card (again) Nikki. The DSP works really well with this sketch.
