Caged

I finally caved and ordered the Summer Mini set ‘Aviary’ after being tempted by so many wonderful creations of late using this set. It arrived today so I decided to use it for this weeks The Sweet Stop Sketch SSS93.

Here’s this weeks sketch.

I wanted to go bright with this card so using the fabulous Colour Coach (I know I say this a lot but it really is wonderful) and have selected from the Melon Mambo card the combination of Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise. I’ve used Whisper White as my neutral.

So are you ready to check out my bright creation?

All the DSP is from the Brights Pattern Stack. Having 4 different patterns for every colour in a collection all in one pack is great. You’re never without a DSP for any colour now and the pattern selection is super. You can always find something that will work with your creation.

I’ve used Whisper White as my card base. I never used to use Whisper White in this way until recently. I’ve always found it to be a little ‘weak or flexible’ for a base card compared to the coloured cardstock but when you add layers in this way (not even as many as this though) and also add a layer or 2 for an insert the card really is very strong.

I so much prefer the new Brights collection to the old one but I’m sure you’ve read that here before too.

Till next time….

    Nikki,
Your card is fabulous, love the colours. I too am trying to make a conscious effort to use all my unused stamps & embellishments & participating in challenges is a good way to get the creative mojo happening.
