Love You

First card up for today is the Diva Coffee Break Designs Colour Challenge #214.

There are quite a few challenges out there this week related to Valentines and to me, that’s what these colours are calling for.

I had a different stamp set and idea in mind when I first started out to make this card, but it just wasn’t working so I ended up picking up my ‘I Heart Hearts’ stamp set and created this very simple card.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: I Heart Hearts, Well Scripted (Summer Mini)
Card: Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette, Real Red, Whisper White, Subtles Patterns Stack – Pink Pirouette
Ink: Versamark, Real Red
Accessories: Corner Rounder Punch.

Till next time…..

Rustic Oak

I’m back with another card to share with you all, making it 3 posts today. Gotta love this rainy weather for something….lol

This time I’ve used the Utah Divas International Colour Challenge #22.

I found these colours a real challenge to use together and am not sure if I like this card yet or not. Maybe you could leave a comment and let me know what you think and/or offer suggestions?

I decided I’d use the Lovely As A Tree stamp set and do some ‘thumping’ using More Mustard and Tangerine Tango on the leaves for the Oak tree image.

Here’s my end result.

I’ve only used a little of the Tangerine Tango on the tree which you may not even be able to see in the image. I’ve also used Tangerine Tango on part of the sentiment. I found the Tangerine Tango to be a bit bright and a little out of place with the other ‘earthy’ colours.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: Lovely As A Tree, Upsy Daisy, Wonderfully Worn
Card: Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Very Vanilla
Ink: More Mustard inkpad, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango & More Mustard Stampin’ Write Markers
Accessories: Hemp Twine.

Till next time…..

Just 4 U

Over on Cards & Things Challenges this week we have been given a gorgeous colour combination to play with for Colour Challenge #65.

I haven’t played a lot with Concord Crush as yet, but I do love Pear Pizzazz and Bashful Blue is always nice.

Now I wanted to try and use a stamp set I either hadn’t used yet or not very often and decided upon one of the Level 2 Hostess sets – Apple Blossom. Previously I’d only used one stamp from this set on the desktop calendar I made for my last Secret Sister in my Stampin’ Up in Oz group.  I’ve also used another stamp set that I hadn’t used as yet and that is Hodgepodge Happiness, which of course I’ve teamed with some Styled Silver Hodgepodge which I haven’t used any of in quite a while.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: Apple Blossom (Hostess), Hodgepodge Happiness (Summer Mini)
Card: Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Subtles Pattern Stack – Bashful Blue
Ink: Pear Pizzazz, Bashful Blue, Concord Crush
Accessories: Styled Silver Hodgepodge, Basic Jewels – Rhinestones, Small Oval Punch, Concord Crush 1/2” Stitched-Poly Ribbon

Just a reminder that you only have till 8pm Sunday 13th February (Sydney time) to be eligible to enter to win some Blog Candy. You can read all about it here.

Till next time…..
