Paisley Petals Card Box

February 22, 2012 | 6 comments

I ended up with 4 extra kits left from the workshop last week so rather than have them just sit around I made them up on Friday night at our fortnightly stamp night. The only change I made was a different word stamp for each. I didn’t photograph the 4 cards as the layout is the same but here’s the original photo again in case you didn’t ready my previous post and are not sure what I’m talking about.

4 extra kit cards + my demonstration card meant I had 5 cards so I decided I’d make them into a gift set complete with a box and envelopes of course. Well that was until my daughter went to a party last minute on Saturday and needed a card. That’s what we make them for though. So I was back down to the standard 4 cards for the set now.

I was tempted to go back and recreate the box in this previous post (revamped with Paisley Petals DSP though) but decided I wanted something different. I browsed through some of my purchase tutorials and came across an old My Timeless Templates tutorial by Lauren Meader called ‘All Boxed Up’. I liked the idea of this one but wanted it to fit my cards and envelopes but only have one side compartment so I used the general concept given in the tutorial but made up my own.

I’ve decorated the outside like the card fronts and used the sentiment ‘with Love’ from the Elements of Style stamp set.

Here’s what the inside looks like. I’ve used the other sentiment from the Elements of Style stamp set here.

This will make a great gift for someone special.

I hope you like what I’ve been sharing lately. I’m not sure how many of you are still visiting my blog after such a long non-creative show from me but if you do visit I’d love to hear what you think or just say hello so I know someone is out there still.

Stamp sets: Paisley Petals, Elements of Style, Short & Sweet, On Your Birthday, Petite Pairs
Card: River Rock, Bravo Burgundy, Cajun Craze, Whisper White

Till next time….
