I have another Birthday card to share with you today as you can never have enough of them.
For this card I’ve used this weeks Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge PPA131.
I’d selected the ‘Creative Elements’ stamp set but then wasn’t sure where to go from there. I then realised that one of the prints on the Mocha Morning DSP is very similar to one of the images in the stamp set so now I have ‘a’ colour to use, but what other colours will I put with it. Hmmmmm….
This is what I ended up with.
I’ve gone with a colour scheme of Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, Crumb Cake & Very Vanilla and added an extra layer to the sketch for my base card.
The piece of Basic Black cardstock has been embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper folder for some extra texture but I’m not sure that shows up too well in this photo.
I’m quite happy with how this turned out. Still unsure if some Pearls would add a nice touch or be a bit too much. Any suggestions??
The inside of the card needed to be dressed up too so this is how that turned out.

Edited to add: My card was chosen as a Pals Paper Artist Pick this week. How exciting.
I get to display this badge. How cool is that???
This is a beautiful card, Nicole. I love your use of Creative Elements here. It’s very classy. I think you could go either way with the pearls.

Beautiful! Great colors. Very elegant simplicity.
This is simply beautiful. How did you make the flower it is gorgeous.
Hi Patty.
The flower was stamped 3 times, cut out at different petals and then mounted with dimensionals.
