I was hoping to have shared something over the weekend but instead I was cutting up all the cardstock for the 350 Father’s Day cards I make for my youngest daughters school. I now have it all cut, the 2nd layer adhered to the base card and now just have to stamp the images and attach that piece of card and I’ll be all done. Well I’m sure it won’t be as quick as it sounds but I’m making headway at least and will hope to finish them off by the end of Stamp camp 17th – 19th August. That will have them done 10 days earlier than they are needed.
I have created this morning and made 2 cards between 3 challenges. Unfortunately the colour combination that I was using is for a challenge that closed before I had my cards done. Oh well, I’ll still share that challenge with you.
Challenges I’ve used are the colorQ Challenge #148, Try Stamping on Tuesday Challenge #77 and Sketch Frenzy Friday SFF080312.
My first card is using the colorq challenge and Try Stamping on Tuesday Sketch.
Supplies:
Stamp set: Cottage Garden (retiring)
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Poppy Parade (retiring)
Cardstock: Poppy Parade (retiring), Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette – Subtles Patterns Stack DSP
Accessories: Scallop Edge Border Punch, Lots of Tags Sizzlits Die Set, Wide Oval Punch, Whisper White 1/4” Grosgrain ribbon (retiring)
I wasn’t too sure about this card so decided to make a second card using the same colour challenge.
Here’s my 2nd card using the same colour challenge but changing the sketch to Friday Frenzy Challenge. This one also fits the Come and Get It Challenge of Adult birthday so I’m going to enter this one there too.
Supplies:
Stamp sets: Awash With Flowers, Short & Sweet (both retiring)
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Tangerine Tango, Poppy Parade (retiring)
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette – Subtles Patterns Stack DSP

I think I like this 2nd card better. What do you think??
Till next time….
Both cards are great! I really like the bright fun colors! And I love how you curled the corner up on the second card! Thanks for joining us this week at Sketch Frenzy Friday!
Such a pretty CAS card! Love the added details of the tiny cut out flowers around the sentiment. Thanks for joining us at try Stampin’ on Tuesday!
Very pretty Nikki! I like both, but do think the 2nd is a little better! Less open space maybe?? Great job and thanks for playing along with us at Sketch Frenzy Friday!!
I like both cards. They are lovely!!! Thanks for playing with us at SFF!!
You did a great job on both cards. Don’t you hate when you miss the linky deadline. Happens to me all the time. I think I like the second one better as the card is more balanced if you know what I mean. Thanks for joining us at Sketch Frenzy Friday this week.
Great cards! I’m a huge fan of clean and simple, and these are perfect! Thanks for joining us at SFF!
