Inkspirational Challenge Week 5

It’s time for this weeks Inkspirational Challenge and being that it is a 5 week month for us, this week is an ‘Anything Goes’ Challenge.

How easy is that? You can enter any card, scrapbook page, 3D item etc that you make this week for a chance to be in this weeks Top 5 and if you have participated in every week so far, then you will have a chance of winning this month’s Sponsor Gift from ‘A Day for Daisies’.

Pop on over to Inkspirational to see what this weeks Design Team have created to inspire you and don’t forget to pop back on Saturday evening (11pm Sydney time) to see what I have created.

Inkspirational Challenge WK4

It’s time for another Inkspirational Challenge and this week is a Sketch Inkspiration.

I have created a ‘Birthday Card’ this week using the sketch as the centre piece on my card.

I chose to use some Twitterpatted DSP for my card (seeing I have so much of it). The base card and circle layer are using Island Indigo cardstock to coordinate with the DSP. The ‘Birthday Wishes’ sentiment is stamped in Riding Hood Red and I have daubered the edges of the Whisper White cardstock in Baja Breeze ink. I’ve added some Pearls in the corners of the card and the ribbon tag for that extra touch.

For the inside of the card I have daubered the edges of some Whisper White card using Baja Breeze ink and stamped another sentiment using Riding Hood Red ink.

This is a very simple, quick card and a great way to use up some excess DSP.

Supplies: All Stampin’ Up! unless specified otherwise.
Stamp sets: Bring on the Cake
Card: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Twitterpatted
Ink: Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: 3” & 3 1/2” Circle Dies, Big Shot, Basic Jewels – Pearls, dauber, stampin’ dimensionals.

I hope I’ve given you a little inspiration. Pop on over to Inkspirational and check out what the other DT members for this week have created and get started on your own submission.

Inkspirational Challenge Week 3 EOWE

I’m back with my creation for this weeks Inkspirational Challenge. This week it’s a CASE Inkspiration.

I chose a colour combination of Midnight Muse, More Mustard & Rich Razzleberry for my card. I’ve teamed this with Circle Circus and a rub-on for the sentiment.

I started with a Midnight Muse base card (148mm x 210mm) scored in half. I’ve then cut 2 pieces of Midnight Muse for the top layers. One piece is 15mm x 148mm and the second piece is 50mm x 148mm. I have paper-pierced the inside edge on both pieces. I then added the rub-on sentiment to the smaller pieces.

Next up I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock which is 50mm x 148mm. I randomly stamped 5 images from the Circle Circus stamp set using Midnight Muse, More Mustard & Rich Razzleberry inkpads. This piece was then adhered to the base card aligning it approximately 15mm in from the folded edge. This then allowed me to layer the Midnight Muse pieces so they just cover the edges of the stamped piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals with a small border around the outside edge and the base card.

I would have liked a little more ‘texture’ to the top layers of Midnight Muse but I couldn’t find an embossing folder or background stamp that wasn’t too busy for the stamped images so I just left them plain.

I think this is a great ‘male’ style card using this stamp set and may have a play with some other colour combinations.

Pop on over to Inkspirational and join us in the challenge. You have until 11am Wednesday morning (Sydney time) to enter.
