I meant to get this post up on Wednesday but life has been so hectic. My eldest is in Year 12 and doing her 1/2 yearly exams at the moment so they only go to school for the exams. That means extra pick ups for me at different times to what they normally are and more time at home for her. That can be a good thing but seeing how she is also learning to drive and we recently purchased a car for her that extra time at home means more time for driving lessons. In just 2 days we did 6 hours. We were planning a nice trip up the mountains this morning but after doing an hour last night in the rain with noisy wipers we are going to skip today until hubby replaces the wiper blades. I am aiming to have the remainder of her hours done this month so he better ‘hop to it’ or he’ll have to make up some time by extra lessons on the weekends and evenings with her. Once she does have her licence life will be a little easier for me.

Now back to my original reason for posting “Birthdays”.

This past Wednesday was my good friend Julie Price’s Birthday. Julie runs the ABC Challenge blog that I have just joined and also is part of many other design teams showcasing her wonderful talents.

Here is the card I made Julie.

Julie loves her ‘aqua’ colours so I created this simple but elegant card using Pool Party and Island Indigo.  My card was inspired by a card made by iguanastamps which you can view here and I’ve just added some colour to mine.

Now not only was it Julie’s birthday on Wednesday but it was also my friend and wonderful upline, Marelle Taylor’s birthday.

Here’s is the card I made for Marelle.

The same card but different colours. For Marelle’s I’ve used Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.
