Our challenge for this week over at Inkspirational is a Photo Inkspiration.
My first thought when I saw the picture was Stampin’ Up!’s ‘Blooming with Kindness’ stamp set but it’s one I don’t own.
I really like it but didn’t think I’d use it enough so have held out. No I didn’t cave and purchase it.
I went with my second thought which was a digital scrapbook page.
This is my eldest daughter, Heather, with her friend, Brodie.
Heather is 16yrs old in these pictures. This year she’ll be 18, finishing school and of course it will be Year 12 Formal.
Where has the time gone?
I remember everything about that day she was born and it just doesn’t seem like all those years ago.
I’ve used My Digital Studio to create this page. You can download a FREE 30 Day trial from my online store here.
I hope you like my creation.
Hi Nikki, – a great way to show off these photos of your lovely daughter. The pink background really showcases the blue of her dress. Marina
Nikki your daughter is beautiful! I know what you mean about the time slipping by. Both of mine are out of the house and both are in different states! UGH I don’t like that at all! Anyhow, your scrapbook page is beautiful. I have a lot of things I would like to scrapbook but I’ve never tried doing digital. Do you print 12×12 pages? If so what printer do you use? I would be very eager to start scrapbooking if I could do it digitally! Hang on to these days with your children. They might be painful at times (well at least some of ours were lol) but worth every minute. I miss my kids so much!
hugs,
Ellen
Hi Ellen.
I haven’t tried printing yet. I do have a printer in the house that will do 12″ x 12″ but it’s not connected to my computer. I think this layout was actually an 8″ x 8″. Not sure if that will print on the normal printer or not. We can save them and take them to a print place to print out though so that’s another option.
Nikki
LOVE this, Nikki! Your daughter is beautiful and I love seeing something other than a card! Fabulous, friend! 🙂
