Inkspirational Challenge #31

It’s Wednesday and that means a new challenge over at Inkspirational.

Seeing how this month is a 5 week challenge month, you know what that means…..

Our sponsor for this month’s challenges is A Day for Daisies.

By entering all our weekly challenges for the month you have a chance to win a fabulous prize from them.

I’ve used the gorgeous Sponsors image again for my card and combined it with a Red, Black & White colour scheme. .

The layout is simple so you focus on the image.

I’ve coloured my image with the following Copic Markers.

Skin – E11, E00, E000, E0000
Hair – E55, E53, E51, E50
Dress – R29, R24, R21, R0000
Birds – C6, C4, C2, C00

Here’s a close up.

Supplies: (All SU unless specified otherwise)
Stamps: Loving Thoughts, Pearls In My Hair (A Day for Daisies)

MDS Hybrid CASE

While browsing the web recently I came across this gorgeous card by Teneale Williams.

It’s an MDS Hybrid creation which means some of it is created in MDS (My Digital Studio) on your computer and some of it is done with traditional stamping (ink & rubber).

As soon as I saw Teneale’s gorgeous card I knew I needed to CASE it.

Here’s mine.

I’ve used a different colour image to Teneale, a different sentiment and used Calypso Coral Bakers Twine rather than white.

This is so pretty in real life.

Here’s the inside.

I left the inside blank as the ‘for you’ sentiment on the front could be utilised for lots of occasions.

The traditional supplies I’ve used for this card are very minimal.

I’ve used 2 sheets of Very Vanilla cardstock, a piece of Victorian Crochet Trim, Calypso Coral Bakers Twine, Crumb Cake ink & dauber, French Foliage stamp set for the splatters (retired) and some dimensionals & adhesive.

The MDS items I’ve used are:

3 different backgrounds from the Bunch of Background Stamp Brush Set,

Floral image from Tea for Two Easel Calendar Template

and the sentiment is from Friends 24-7 Stamp Brush Set.

The sentiment I used was the ‘Here for You’ and I cropped out the ‘Here’.

The Friends 24-7 Stamp Brush Set is included in the Full Version MDS.

You can download a FREE 30-Day Trial of MDS from my online store.

Happy 80th

My mum asked me to make an 80th Birthday Card for her as her Aunt is celebrating her birthday this weekend.

Mum selected Cherry Cobbler as the colour and the rest was up to me.

This is what I came up with.

The Memorable Moments stamp set is just perfect for these special occasions and Everything Eleanor just added that extra touch.

Here’s another angle to show the dimension.

The Cherry Cobbler Labels Collection frame is mounted using Stampin’ Dimensionals and so are all the Everything Eleanor flowers and I’ve also added a pearl to the smaller flower.

I was originally thinking of adding tiny pearls to the larger flower but there is just too many spots on the stamen so it looked overcrowded.

I’ve also decorated the inside of the card.

The flower image is adhered using mini glue dots just to give it a little dimension but still allowing the card to close flat.

My Mother & Step Father both loved it so here’s hoping Aunty Mary does too.
