Over at Inkspirational there have been a few changes.
First up is a change of ownership. The original owners had a lot on their plates, and something had to give. Unfortunately it was Inkspirational but they have handed the reins over to one of the DT so we will continue on.
The next change is that we are now a fortnightly challenge. Having said that our first challenge will be today, Wednesday 2nd October, but the next challenge will be Saturday 12th October and then fortnightly from then on.
The other main change is in regards to the types of challenges. We will still have different challenges but not in any order.
For today’s challenge we have a Colour Challenge for you.
You can choose just 2 of these colours or all 3. The choice is yours.
I decided to use all 3 in my card + white.
The only stamping in my card today is the sentiment which is from the ‘Bring on the Cake’ stamp set from Stampin’ Up!®.
I’ve used the new Hexagon Punch along with some new Pattern Stacks DSP in both Smoky Slate & Raspberry Ripple and an old Pattern Stacks DSP print for the Tempting Turquoise.
Looking at the ‘raspberry’ in the colour challenge, Melon Mambo might have been a better match but I’m still happy with the results.
I’ve added a little Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and some paper-piercing around the top.
A reasonably quick and easy card to make and a great way to use up some scrap DSP.
I’m entering my card in the following challenges:
Amusing Challenges – Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everybody – Challenge #30 Anything Goes
Craftin Desert Divas – Anything with a Sentiment
The Squirrel & The Fox – Challenge #52 Happy Birthday
Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge – Birthday Card
Edited to add:
for the Amusing Challenges – Anything Goes
October Hostess Code: XFC6WF4D
