Santa’s Ways…..

It’s the 1st of December and that means a new challenge over at ABC Challenges.

We completed the alphabet with our last challenge so that means we are back at the start.

So, our challenge for you today is A is for Almost Christmas’.

Our sponsor for this challenge is The Paper Shelter and they have provided us with some gorgeous images to work with.

I decided to use ‘Yep, I have my Methods!’.

Here’s what I came up with.

I’ve printed my image onto Cryogen White cardstock and coloured with Copic Markers.

The colours I’ve used are as follows:

Skin – E11, E00, E000, R20

Clothes – R39, R37, R35, R32, R0000

Boots, Belt & Gloves – C10, C8, C6, C4, C2, C00

Bird, Belt Buckle & Balloon String – YR24, YR23, YR21, YR0000

Chimney – E49, E47, E44, E42, E0000

Balloon & Bird Hat – B99, B97, B95, B93, B0000

Snow – B91, B0000

Beard & Coat/Hat edges – C1, C00

Here’s a closer look at the image.

I’ve also finished off the inside.

I’m not sure if I’ll stamp another sentiment or just leave it blank to write my own message, so for now it’s blank.

I love how this turned out and I used lots of new things that I had purchased over the last few months so that’s always a bonus.

Supplies:
Stamps: Yep, I have my Methods! (Digital Image from The Paper Shelter), Sentiment from Lilli of the Valley
Card: Cherry Cobber & Whisper White (Stampin’ Up), “Sweet Christmas Dreams” Blue Christmas Holly (Magnolia Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Big Shot, Oval Framelits, Cirlces #2 Die, 1 3/4” Circle Punch, Paper-Piercing Tool, Mat, Occasions Templates, Organza Ribbon (Stampin’ Up), Snowflake Tree & Snowflake Corner Dies (Memory Box), Copic Markers, Pearls.

Now if you haven’t already stopped by ABC Challenges and checked out what the rest of the DT have created then please do so now.

We’d love for you to leave us a comment on our own blogs as well as the challenge blog and make sure you leave us a link to yours so we can return the love.

All About the Sparkle…..

I previously shared a snippet of my cards for my ‘All About the Sparkle’ Stamp-A-Stack class that I held in November but I haven’t been back to share the full cards.

Well here I am.

First up was a card created using the lovely Joyful Christmas stamp set.

This card was inspired by a card from Mary Fish.

Stamp sets: Joyful Christmas
Card: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Vellum Cardstock,  Season of Style DSP
Ink: Versamark

The second card was made using the Festive Flurry Bundle.

Love the colours on this card and of course the sparkly snowflake with the Frosted Finishes embellishment.

I’ve used some Cherry Cobbler co-ordinations cardstock to create the lovely background for this card.
