Fancy Marci Birthday Wishes

It’s time for a new challenge at Loves Rubberstamps Challenge Blog and this week we have a Photo Inspiration for you.

Our sponsor for this challenge is….

The East Wind.

For my card today I’ve chosen to use some of the colours from the Photo Inspiration.

Here’s what I came up with.

I have stamped my image (Fancy Marci from La-La Land Crafts) onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured with my Copic Markers. I have layered my card with some colour coordinated papers, some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and a satin bow.

Here’s another picture…

And a close up of the image…

Now for my creation for this week.

I’ve used another new Magnolia stamp from the ‘Animal of the Year’ collection this week and this one is called Edwin with Teo the Dragon. The sentiment is also from this collection. This has been teamed with some lovely Magnolia papers from the ‘Once Upon A Time’ collection and the ‘Prince & Princess’ collection. My image has been cut out using the Large Classic & Scallop Circle Nestabilities and the sentiment with the Large Mega Oval Classic & Scallop Nestabilities. I’ve edged my main card using a Martha Stewart ‘Around the Page’ Punch set called Cherish. The corner dies is from La La Land Dies and is called Decorative Corner. Some gorgeous Wild Orchid Craft flowers, a bow and some lace from my stash finish off my card.

My image was stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Copic Markers.

The colours I’ve used are: Skin – E11, E00, E000, E0000, R20; Hair – E44, E42, E40; Pants – BG72, BG70; Top – N2, N0; Teo – BG78, BG75, BG72, BG70, BG0000, V25, V22, V20, V0000; Ground – N2, N0.

Here’s another photo.

It’s time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog and this time the challenge is…..

‘For the Boys’.

This week, as always, we are sponsored by The Paper Shelter and Veronica & Pedro are offering a fabulous prize of $30 to spend at their site.

Challenge prize badge

If you use a TPS image in your creation you will receive the full $30 to spend on their gorgeous designs, and if you haven’t used a TPS image then you will win 3 Digis of your choice from their site.

I’m don’t often make male cards as I really don’t have a big need for them and because of this I usually struggle with them, however I had lots of fun with this challenge.

I’ve had the gorgeous Cockatoo Rules image from The Paper Shelter for some time but had yet to use it, so this was my chance.

I decided to use the Pre-Coloured image, print it up a few times and create a layered image.

I attempted to create a scenery in the background of the base image (my first attempt so even though it’s not fabulous I’m still happy with it).

The image made me think of the song from the movie ‘Grease 2’ called ‘Cool Rider’. This is where my words were inspired from.

Here’s another photo…
