Beautiful Days

Whilst browsing Pinterest one day I came across this lovely card made by Kylie Bertucci and thought it would be perfect for one of my production cards (where I make 10 or so of the one design) for Stamp Camp. I also ended up using it for a class card.

I loved Kylie’s card in Rococco Rose but also decided to make one in Seaside Spary. I’m sure there would be multiple colour combinations that would work fabulously with this card and also many stamp sets.

So here are my 2 cards.

and a closer look at both.

Do you have a colour preference?

Father’s Day

I’m here today to share the Father’s Day cards I made for earlier this month.

The Sailing Home stamp set and coordinating papers work wonderfully for male themed cards so this is what I’ve used.

This stamp set has coordinating dies which makes them quite quick to produce and keeping them fairly simple helps also. I always find making male cards hard as they are the ones I make the least but this came together nicely. The sentiment has been stamped using words from the A Wish For Everything stamp set and punched out using the 1 1/2″ Circle Punch.

Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #10

It’s Blog Hop time again and this time we are showcasing creations made using new Holiday Catalogue items.

If you have just come from Kylie’s blog and wish to go back you can by clicking the button

or continue reading and work your way back around.

I’m going to be using some of the products from the wonderful Brightly Gleaming Suite (catalogue samples below).

Aren’t these colours just gorgeous.

I’ll be sharing 3 cards with you today and this is my first.

I love the copper foil embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder, which is punched out using the coordinating Gleaming Ornaments Punch pack. I’ve also added some of the Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements from the suite. The holly image has been stamped using Stazon Jet Black onto Shimmer White Cardstock and coloured with aqua painters and inkpads.

Now my next 2 cards are basically the same, I’ve just swapped the designer series paper.

This is the Night of Navy print

and the second sample has the Pretty Peacock print.

These last cards are great for classes as they are so quick and easy to make. One thing I will mention is that to get my placement correct with the punch I first punched out the ornament from scrap, then added some removeable adhesive to the back, placed it on the top layer as a guide and then punched out the shape. This makes it so much easier to get the ornament in the right spot, with an even gap at top and bottom and the ornament straight.
