Mother’s Day isn’t till next month but I wanted to get a head start so I actually had cards to send off in time. I had saved this pretty card by Danielle Kassing to my Pinterest and I thought it would make a wonderful Mother’s Day card. I have to make 3 Mother’s Day cards so I decided to make them each a different colour. I’ve made a few minor changes to my cards but they are basically a CASE of Danielle’s.
The first one I made was using Balmy Blue.
To make the card you need a Balmy Blue base card (210mm x 140mm scored in half at 105mm). Next I’ve added a layer of Balmy Blue dsp from the Subtles 6×6 pack which has been die cut using the large Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I have also stamped the sentiment on the left over dsp and die cut with one of the smaller Stitched Rectangle dies, running through twice to make the size I need. The large Tulip flower and leaf have been stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White card using Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz inks and then punched out using the coordinating Tulip Builder Punch. Next I stamped the 2 smaller tulips onto a piece of Whisper White card which has been die cut using the 3rd largest Stitched Rectangle Dies using Balmy Blue ink. The stems & leaves have then been stamped in Pear Pizzazz. I have then wrapped some Whisper White Baker’s Twine around the card and tied a bow. I have then mounted the sentiment over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensions. Next I have adhered the large Tulip and Leaf Punch pieces using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally I’ve adhered this main piece to the base card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Next up I remade the card in Highland Heather.
And lastly I remade using Petal Pink.
