Todays card is using the lovely the ‘All Things Fabulous‘ stamp set & coordinating dies. I hate to admit that I’ve had this set for a while but hadn’t previously used it. After creating this card I’m sure I’ll be playing with it again soon.
The colour combination that I have used came from one that Mary Fish posted here. I think I’ll end up trying each of them but the first one I went for is Pear Pizzazz, Polished Pink and Daffodil Delight.
To make this card I cut a piece of Basic White Thick A4 cardstock @ 105mm x 297mm, scored at 148mm. Next I cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz DSP from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ pack @ 40mm x 148mm and adhered to card base as shown. I then cut a Scallop Contour Die (I’ve used the 3rd largest die), in Basic White A4 cardstock.
Next, I stamped my images onto Basic White cardstock. The flowers each have 3 stamps to complete them. The first stamp is the largest and I’ve used 3rd generation for this, meaning I inked the image and stamped off lightly 2 times on scrap paper before stamping onto the card. The next image I stamped in 2nd generation and the last image is full strength. This could also be done using different colour inkpads to give the tonal effect if you prefer. The leaves are full strength. I then die cut the images with the coordinating dies.
Next I arranged the images on the scallop die to see where I’d like them to be before glueing the leaves and Daffodil Delight flowers down and mounting the Polished Pink flower using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then mounted the scallop die to the base card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. My sentiment was stamped in Polished Pink onto Basic White card and cut to size before mounting using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, I added some Gilded Gems to complet my card.
