The card I am sharing today is created using the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set & Brilliant Wings Dies. My ‘not previously used‘ stamp sets are slowly dwindling down with another 2 used on this card.
I am not too sure how I feel about this card. I really like the idea and the layout just not sure on the colour combination. The combination I have used is Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral & Fresh Freesia which is from our colour coach.
To make the card I started with a 105mm x 297mm piece of Basic White A4 Thick cardstock scored and folded in half to form my base card. Next, I cut a 20mm x 144mm piece of Calypso Coral DSP which is glued to the card front leaving an even border on the right, top & bottom edges. I have then cut 2 pieces of Basic White cardstock 120mm x 155mm. I have stamped the Butterfly Brilliance image onto one piece in Coastal Cabana ink and the other in Memento Tuxedo Black.
The Coastal Cabana piece was then trimmed down to 83mm x 144mm making sure to leave the large butterfly intact. I added some Coastal Cabana ink using a dauber to the butterflies before mounting to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I lined up the top & bottom edge with the dsp leaving the same size border on the left as the other sides.
On the other stamped piece, I coloured the large butterfly wings using Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends in both light & dark and the body in light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. This was then die cut using the Brilliant Wings Dies. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and mounted to the card front over the matching stamped image.
For the sentiment, I stamped the Many Messages stamp using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of Calypso Coral cardstock. This was then die cut using the coordinating Messages Dies. I have then mounted my chosen sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, I added some 2021-2023 In Color Jewels in the Fresh Freesia.
