I’m here today with another card using the Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Papers.
Once again, I’ve CASEd the Catty. They are great sample cards and a great way to get the creative juices flowing when you are a little stuck for inspiration.
Here is what I created.
I started out with a Cinnamon Cider base card. Next, I cut a piece of the designer series paper 105mm x 135mm which I diagonally cut the bottom edge using the Paper Trimmer. I then glued a strip of Soft Succulent cardstock to the bottom edge making sure it was wider than the dsp. Next, I turned the card over and trimmed the Soft Succulent card to match the dsp. This was then adhered to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 70mm x 125mm to which I stamped the sentiment on the bottom using Evening Evergreen ink. I then die cut the plant holder using Gray Granite, and the plant piece in both Garden Green & Soft Succulent. I also stamped the pot image in Cinnamon Cider ink onto Cinnamon Cider cardstock before die cutting. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue I added a small amount to the back of the plant holder and positioned over the pot. I then added both the plant pieces to the top edge of the pot using glue.
To work out the placement for the stamped image, I layed the plant holder piece over the Basic White card where I would like to mount it. I then inked up the image using Just Jade ink, aligned the image where I wanted it, moved the plant piece and then stamped the image. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I mounted the plant piece to the Basic White cardstock.
Next, I cut a piece of Gray Granite Baker’s Twine and threaded through the hole of the plant holder and adhered to the back of the card. This piece was then mounted to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The final touch was to add some Clear Epoxy rain drops to the card.
