Today’s card is another Birthday card using the gorgeous Simply Elegant Designer Series Papers. This time I’ve used the ‘non foil’ side.
My card was inspired by this card made by Debbie Chronister that I found on Pinterest.
Here is what I created.
To make this card you will need the following cardstock & dsp pieces.
- Basic Black cardstock – 210mm x 148mm, scored at 105mm and folded to make base card.
- Basic Black cardstock – 1 @ 70mm x 100mm, 1 @ 60mm x 130mm, 1 @ 90mm x 90mm (for die cut), 1 @ 101mm x 30mm (insert)
- Basic White cardstock – 1 @ 60mm x 60mm (sentiment), 1 @ 101mm x 144mm (insert)
- DSP – 1 @ 101mm x 148mm, 1 @ 67mm x 97mm, 1 @ 57mm x 127mm, 1 @ 101mm x 27mm (insert)
I started by glueing the dsp pieces to the Basic Black cardstock pieces and/or cardbase. Next, I adhered the first panel to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then wrapped some Simply Elegant Trim in silver around the remaining panel 3 times before tying a bow. This was then mounted to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Next, I inked up the floral image with Smoky Slate ink. I stamped off lightly twice on scrap paper before stamping onto the Basic White cardstock. I have then stamped the sentiment over the top using Memento Tuxedo Black before die cutting using the Layering Circles Dies.
Using the Painted Labels dies, I cut out the swirly frame from Basic Black. The sentiment was then mounted to this piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals before being mounted to the card also using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I dressed up the inside of the card using a piece of Basic Black card and a strip of the dsp.
