Thinking Of You

October 30, 2022 | 0 comments

Today’s card is a Thinking of You greeting card. This is another variation on the card I shared in my last post which was inspired by this card from Martin’s Mayhem.

Once again I have used the Blessings of Home stamp set but with a bit more colour this time and some different distressing.

Here’s the end result.

Watercoloured floral thinking of you greeting card

I stamped my main floral image onto a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock using Early Espresso ink. Next, I coloured the image in using Watercolour Pencils from both the Assortment 1 & Assortment 2 packs. I then used the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing folder to emboss this piece. Once embossed, I added some White splatter to the card piece using the Whisper White Craft Ink Refill and a Water Painter. I then used my bone folder to curl the top left corner of the card until the layers separated.

Next, I cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock, slightly larger that my Sahara Sand piece. Once again I curled the top left corner with my bone folder only just breaking the layers apart but not separating them. I then used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to layer the 2 pieces together before glueing to an Old Olive base card.

My sentiment was then stamped onto a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock using Early Espresso Ink. I flagged one end and mounted to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
