Today’s card uses the very pretty Marigold Moments bundle in the January – April 2023 Mini Catalogue. I have also used some of the ‘soon to be retired’ 2021 – 2023 In Colors.
When browsing Pinterest recently I came across this gorgeous card made by Amy Koenders and have created my card using Amy’s as the inspiration and adding a few of my own touches.
Marigold Moments Thanks Card Details
To make my card I started by cutting an A4 piece of Basic White Thick cardstock in half lengthwise. I then scored and folded in half. Next, I cut two pieces of 2021 – 2023 In Color designer series paper. 1 piece @ 105mm x 30mm and the other @ 105mm x 20mm. The larger piece was then adhered to the bottom edge of the card and the smaller to the top.
Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock @ 105mm x 115mm. I then scalloped the bottom edge using the Marigold Moments dies. I aligned the edge of the die to the bottom of the cardstock and die cut, keeping the little piece that is cut off for later. Using one of the Basics 3D embossing folders, I then embossed this piece before adhering the die offcut to the top edge using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Next, I added a piece of Fresh Freesia Open Weave ribbon around the bottom and adhered using Mini Glue Dots, before tying a piece of Whisper White Baker’s Twine on top. This piece was then mounted to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
My images were stamped next onto an A6 piece of Basic White cardstock. The solid images were stamped off once onto scrap paper and the detailed images are direct from the ink pad. This allowed me to achieve a tonal effect with each of the colours. The flower is using Fresh Freesia and the leaves are Soft Succulent. Once the images were all stamped I then die cut them using the Marigold Moments dies. Next, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the bottom stem & leaves piece to the card front and Stampin’ Dimensionals for the flower and smaller leaves.
The sentiment was stamped onto Basic White cardstock using Evening Evergreen ink and die cut using the Something Fancy Dies. I also used the same die to cut a piece of Evening Evergreen designer series paper from the 2021 – 2023 In Color 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack. I’ve glued this piece to the back of the sentiment piece as shown and then mounted to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue. For the finishing touch I added some 2021 – 2023 In Color Opal Rounds.
I decorated the flap on the envelope with a coordinating piece of the designer series paper.
For the inside of my card I cut a piece of Fresh Freesia designer series paper @ 102mm x 145mm and a piece of Basic White cardstock 98mm x 141mm. Next, I stamped the smaller leaf and flower images, as show below, before adhering to the inside of the card.
