Art Gallery

I have 2 cards to share with you today and for both I’m using the Art Gallery stamp set & coordinating Floral Gallery Dies along with the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Papers.

The Art Gallery stamp set & dies are currently available in both the January – June Mini Catalogue and also the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. However, they are only available as a bundle in the January – June Mini so if you are interested in purchasing this set you can pick up the bundle for a 10% discount only until the end of June. Please note the Fine Art Floral DSP is only availabe in the January – June Mini so if you want some or more of that don’t forget to order it before it’s gone.

To make this card I started with an A5 piece of Pool Party cardstock folded in half. I cut 3 strips of designer series paper 32mm x 143mm which I have glued to the base card leaving an even gap between the strips and also on the edges. Next up I cut a die in Pool Party from the Painted Labels die set.

I coloured the image using an array of Stampin’ Write Markers (Pool Party, Bumble Bee, Poppy Parade & Blushing Bride) and stamped onto Basic White cardstock. I meant to pull out Petal Pink (as that is what coordinates with the papers) but I liked the Blushing Bride so I left it. This image was then die cut with the coordinating die. I mounted the image to the Pool Party label using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next up I stamped the sentiment using Night Of Navy ink onto Basic White card. This has been die cut using a die from the coordinating Floral Gallery dies. I have layered this onto the Pool Party label using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the right and glue on the left side over the flower stem.

The label piece was then mounted to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. My final touch was to add some Gilded Gems.

For my second card I have used a Merry Merlot A5 base card folded in half. My strips are cut at 32mm x 143mm and adhered using glue. I have also die cut a Merry Merlot label using the Tasteful Labels dies.

This time I have used the other floral images as my main images. The larger flower was first stamped with second generation Flirty Flamingo onto Basic White card. I have then stamped the second part of the image in second generation Merry Merlot. The smaller flower image was also stamped in second generation Flirty Flamingo onto Basic White card.

I wanted some leaves or greenery to go with my flowers, so I stamped both the flower stem and also the flower I used in the first card in Old Olive onto Basic White card. Some where in full strength and others in second generation. All the images were then die cut and then trimmed so I just had the leaves and ‘sprigs’. I played around with placement and decided to go with the ‘sprig’ pieces from the floral image.

The floral images and ‘sprigs’ are mounted to the Merry Merlot label using either Stampin’ Dimensionals or glue. My sentiments are from the Ornate Thanks stamp set. I stamped the Thanks in Old Olive onto Basic White and trimmed. This was then mounted using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the right end and glue on the left over the flower. The remained of the sentiment was stamped using Merry Merlot onto Basic White and fussy cut. I have then mounted this to the card using small pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The completed label piece was then mounted to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, I again added some Gilded Gems to complete the card.

The inspiration for both these cards came from a sample on the inside front cover of the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue.

Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #31

It’s Blog Hop time again and this time its a colour challenge.

Thank you for joining us today to see what some of the Stampers Anonymous team have created to inspire you.

For my card today I chose to use the lovely new 2021-2023 In Colour Polished Pink as my ‘Colour Choice’.

I have used the ‘Artistically Inked’ stamp set & coordinating ‘Artisitc Dies’ on my card.

My base card is an A5 piece of Basic Black cardstock folded in half. To this I’ve added a 90mm x 135mm piece of Polished Pink DSP from the 2021-2023 In Colour 6×6 DSP pack. I distressed and scrunched the edges of the dsp before glueing to the card base using Multipurpose Glue.

Next I embossed a 90mm x 135mm piece of Basic White A4 card using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I have then stamped my flower & leaf images onto some Basic White A4 card offcuts and die cut. My images were then mounted to the embossed piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This piece was then mounted to my card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My sentiment was stamped onto Basic White A4 card and trimmed to size before mounting to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to complete my card.

I hope my card has inspired you in some way and thanks for visiting.

Flowering Cactus

I’m sharing a set of cards with you today that I created using the Flowering Cactus Medley which is retiring at the end of this month. I loved the colours in this medley which is what made me purchase it and I’ve had fun playing with it and making these cards.

The first card I made was a CASE of the catty on page 8 of the January – June Mini Catalogue.

It’s so pretty. I love the details in the banner piece and the gorgeous colours in the papers.

The next 2 cards were inspired by creations from Mary Fish which you can see her original cards here.

Here are close-ups of my versions.

I have used a stitched rectangle die for my front piece and also changed out the sentiment.

Again, I’ve used a stitched rectangle die on the front, left off the flowers and used the ‘now retired’ Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets.

For my last 2 cards I was trying to use up some of the pieces I had already die cut from one of the designer series papers. I also wanted to use up some more of the felt flowers that come in the medley.

And the final card….

You can check out another card I have previously made with this set here.
