Botanical Prints

In ‘normal times’ I get together with a few friends every fortnight and we craft together. Well, sometimes we just have cuppa’s and a chat and maybe watch one of us craft but with everything that has been going on we are now doing a Zoom craft night each fortnight. It’s great to still be able to catch up and ‘see’ each other and I’ve actually been more productive this way. During last weeks catch up I pulled out the Botanical Prints Product Medley from the January – June Mini Catalogue and created a few cards.

Here’s what I created.

To make this card I started with a Basic Black base card. I cut a piece of the Crushed Curry dsp and layered that onto a piece of Whisper White. I then tied some of the Mossy Meadow ribbon from the kit around this piece before mounting to my card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I’ve cut 2 other pieces of dsp from the pack and added them on top. The bottom piece is glued and the top piece I have used Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next I added one of the die cut fruit image pieces using glue. My sentiment has been stamped in Mossy Meadow onto one of the label die cut pieces and then mounted using Stampin’ Dimensionals and for the final touch I’ve added one of the gorgeous little bee embellishments from the kit.

Onto the next card.

Again I have started with a Basic Black base card, cut a piece of the Pretty Peacock dsp and layered onto a piece of Whisper White. I have then wrapped a piece of Basic Black Satin ribbon around and adhered using Mini Glue Dots. This whole piece has then been glued to the base card. I have stamped my sentiment in Pretty Peacock onto one of the label die cuts and mounted to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Final touch again is to add one of the bee embellishments.

Here’s my final card from the night.

This card came about as I wanted to use up the strip of dsp that was left over from the previous card. I am using a base card of Pretty Peacock on this one. Next I have a layer of Basic Black with a layer of Whisper White on top. I’ve added the dsp to the side, die cut a Stitched Shapes circle from Pretty Peacock and added using glue. I then stamped the image onto Whisper White using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut with the coordinating dies from the Product Medley. I then stamped my sentiment using Pretty Peacock onto one of the label die cuts. Both the image and sentiment are mounted using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Final touch was to add some 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots in Pretty Peacock.

I was happy with my nights work while catching up with friends. I’ve actually been getting more done during these Zoom craft nights than I normally do when we get together. Just hope I can keep it up when we do finally get back together in person.

Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #18

It’s Blog Hop time again and this time we are working with a sketch.

If you are starting the hop here, welcome and I hope you like what I have created.

I have made a couple of cards for this hop and the first one is using the ‘Daisy Delight’ stamp set.

I started by stamping my daisy twice onto Whisper White cardstock using Melon Mambo ink. I then coloured the image using Flirty Flamingo Blends before punching out using the coordinating Daisy Punch. I have curled the daisy petals using my bone folder and overlayed them using a Stampin’ Dimensional between the 2 flower pieces.  Next I stamped the stems on a piece of Whisper White card 3 times in Old Olive ink. I’ve then stamped the small daisy outline and solid images using Flirty Flamingo ink. I have cut out a piece of Flirty Flamingo DSP (from the Brights 6×6 DSP pack) the same size as the Whisper White. I’ve adhered the dsp to a piece of Melon Mambo card and then added the main Whisper White piece. I wrapped a piece of Silver Metallic Edge ribbon around the Melon Mambo card and then adhered to the Old Olive base card. Next I’ve glued the Daisy in place using Multipurpose Liquid Glue before adding a Perennial Essence Floral Centre embellishment. Lastly I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of Melon Mambo card using Versamark ink and then heat embossed in White embossing powder before mounting over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For my second card I’ve used the lovely ‘Band Together’ bundle.

I started by stamping the flower onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the main flower onto a scrap of Whisper White. I have then coloured the images using Old Olive, Purple Posy and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends before die cutting the extra flower using the coordinating dies. I have cut a piece of Purple Posy DSP (from the 2018-2020 In Color 6×6 DSP pack) the same size as the Whisper White image piece which I have then adhered to a larger piece of Whisper White card. Next I adhered the main image piece over the top of the dsp before cutting out one of the gorgeous bands in Daffodil Delight and adhering on top. I have trimmed the overhanging edges to be even with the Whisper White card and then adhered to my Purple Posy base card. Next I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Whisper White card and die cut with the coordinating dies before mounting to my card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then mounted the flower image over the top of the full image using Stampin’ Dimensionals and finally added some 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots to complete my card.
