Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop #31

It’s Blog Hop time again and this time its a colour challenge.

Thank you for joining us today to see what some of the Stampers Anonymous team have created to inspire you.

For my card today I chose to use the lovely new 2021-2023 In Colour Polished Pink as my ‘Colour Choice’.

I have used the ‘Artistically Inked’ stamp set & coordinating ‘Artisitc Dies’ on my card.

My base card is an A5 piece of Basic Black cardstock folded in half. To this I’ve added a 90mm x 135mm piece of Polished Pink DSP from the 2021-2023 In Colour 6×6 DSP pack. I distressed and scrunched the edges of the dsp before glueing to the card base using Multipurpose Glue.

Next I embossed a 90mm x 135mm piece of Basic White A4 card using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I have then stamped my flower & leaf images onto some Basic White A4 card offcuts and die cut. My images were then mounted to the embossed piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This piece was then mounted to my card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

My sentiment was stamped onto Basic White A4 card and trimmed to size before mounting to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to complete my card.

I hope my card has inspired you in some way and thanks for visiting.

All Things Fabulous….

Todays card is using the lovely the ‘All Things Fabulous‘ stamp set & coordinating dies. I hate to admit that I’ve had this set for a while but hadn’t previously used it. After creating this card I’m sure I’ll be playing with it again soon.

The colour combination that I have used came from one that Mary Fish posted here. I think I’ll end up trying each of them but the first one I went for is Pear Pizzazz, Polished Pink and Daffodil Delight.

To make this card I cut a piece of Basic White Thick A4 cardstock @ 105mm x 297mm, scored at 148mm.  Next I cut a piece of Pear Pizzazz DSP from the Subtles 6″ x 6″ pack @ 40mm x 148mm and adhered to card base as shown. I then cut a Scallop Contour Die (I’ve used the 3rd largest die), in Basic White A4 cardstock.

Next, I stamped my images onto Basic White cardstock. The flowers each have 3 stamps to complete them. The first stamp is the largest and I’ve used 3rd generation for this, meaning I inked the image and stamped off lightly 2 times on scrap paper before stamping onto the card. The next image I stamped in 2nd generation and the last image is full strength. This could also be done using different colour inkpads to give the tonal effect if you prefer. The leaves are full strength. I then die cut the images with the coordinating dies.

Next I arranged the images on the scallop die to see where I’d like them to be before glueing the leaves and Daffodil Delight flowers down and mounting the Polished Pink flower using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then mounted the scallop die to the base card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. My sentiment was stamped in Polished Pink onto Basic White card and cut to size before mounting using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly, I added some Gilded Gems to complet my card.

Just Because

I’m here today to share a card I made using the ‘Lovely You‘ stamp set which carried over to the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. I love how this card turned out and can’t wait to try it with some other colours.

I’ve used a mixture of Inkpads & Stampin’ Write Markers in Soft Succulent, Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia & So Saffron, to colour & stamp the flower & leaf images from the stamp set onto Basic White cardstock before fussy cutting them out. I’ve have also used first and second generation stamping with the leaf images to give some tonal effect.  I then added a piece of Basic White to the base card which was embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.

Next, the sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Basic White using the lovely Fresh Freesia inkpad and then die cut using the Tasteful Labels Dies. I then glued the large flower and leaf images to the back side of the sentiment piece before adding Stampin’ Dimensionals and placing on the card. The smaller flowers where then added to fill in some space using Stampin’ Dimensionals. My final touch was to add some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the So Saffron flowers and a ‘few’ extra around the card.

I’ve added a little bit of stamping to the inside of the card to finish it off and tie it all together.

Here are the measurements for my card.

  1. Base card – Basic White Thick A4 105mm x 297mm (score in half and fold). It is advisable to always score the Thick card before folding to give a nice crease.
  2. Basic White A4 – 144mm x 55mm (embossed)
  3. Basic White offcuts for sentiment & images.
  4. Basic White – Insert 144mm x 101mm
