Perennial Essence Part 1

My cards today are using the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper and a varity of stamp sets.

The stamps I’ve used are (from top left clockwise) – Abstract Impressions, Share Sunshine Digital Download Pack (Covid-19 Giveback) and Here’s A Card. The blue ribbon is the Silver Metallic Edge ribbon which has been coloured with a Balmy Blue Dark Stampin’ Blend, I just love how this ribbon can be coloured to coordinate with your creation.

Birthday Layers

Today’s card is using the ‘Layered with Kindness’ stamp set from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalogue.

I started out by stamping the leaf image directly onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Pretty Peacock ink. I have stamped 3 times without reinking to give the different colour depth. I then stamped the flower image in Rococo Rose and the single leaf image in Seaside Spray onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock before fussy cutting. Next I wrapped a piece of 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon in Rococo Rose around my image piece. This has then been adhered to a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock using Mulitpurpose Liquid Glue. I have then stamped my sentiment image onto a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock using Versamark ink, heat embossed using White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and then punched out using the Label Me Lovely Punch. I also stamped the image again using Pretty Peacock ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and then punched out using the Label Me Fancy punch. I have mounted the Very Vanilla punched piece over the top of the Seaside Spray punched piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next I added my flower and leaf images using either Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals depending on their position. I’ve added a couple of Woven Thread Sequins in Seaside Spray before mounting to a Very Vanilla card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Celebrate with Cake

Todays card is made using the ‘Piece of Cake’ and ‘Itty Bitty Birthdays’ stamp sets. My card inspiration came from Brian King’s card which you can check out here. I loved how he created a background using the sentiment.

I started out by stamping the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White card. I have used 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation stamping to give the varied ink colour. I then layered onto a piece of Pool Party card, a piece of Bermuda Bay and finally onto a Smoky Slate base card. I stamped my image onto Whisper White card and coloured with my Stampin’ Blends before punching out with the Cake Builder punch that coordinates with the ‘Piece of Cake’ stamp set. I punched out a vellum circle using the 2 1/4″ circle punch. I’ve adhered the vellum circle to the card using a bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue just in the centre so it would be behind the cake. I have then attached the cake using Stampin’ Dimensionals. My final touch was to add a couple of Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
