Post-It Notes

As promised I’m back today to share the Post-It Note Holders I created for my markets last month.

The first lot I made were using some Twitterpatted DSP and the Mixed Bunch Stamp set. I have created 2 each of the 3 different images using a 2 colour combination.

You can’t tell from the picture but this first photo has some Dazzling Details added to the centre of the flower to give it a little sparkle.

Stamp sets: Mixed Bunch
Card: Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo, Twitterpatted DSP
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo
Accessories: Blossom Punch, Dazzling Details, Basic Jewels – Rhinestones, Clear Rhinestone Brads (retired)

With the next set I wanted to go brighter and found the Summer Smooches DSP to be just what I was looking for. I teamed it with the coordinating stamp set – Bright Blossoms.

Stamp sets: Bright Blossoms, Fabulous Phrases
Card: Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, Summer Smooches DSP
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point
Accessories: Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die, 1 3/4” Circle Punch, Basic Jewels – Rhinestones, Stamp-a-ma-jig

I think my favourite are the brighter set.

Secret Sister – August items

I hadn’t participated in a Secret Sister swap for a while so when our ESAD group decided to run one I thought, why not.  The person I had to send to for the 3 months was a fellow sideline, Juliette Chapman. Juliette doesn’t live too far from me so I knew she’d realise straight away if she saw my postcode on packages, so I had my mum ship them from her place for me. At least for August she was still unsure who was sending to her.

August was the last month for the previous catalogue so we filled our questionnaires out knowing we’d be updating them. Juliette mentioned on her first copy that her favourite stamp set was Bright Blossoms from the Autumn/Winter mini. Well lucky for me I had that stamp set and thanks to attending Convention and the generosity of Stampin’ Up I had a pack of the upcoming Summer Smooches DSP and Designer Fabric. So what to create??

I can’t remember which card I sent first but these are the 2 Juliette received for August.

I hadn’t made a telescopic card before but I was happy with my end result. I love the colours in both these cards and Bright Blossoms is a great set to create with.

Now for the gift. August had a theme of Stationery. What could I make and send to Juliette that I hope she would like and find useful.

I decided a notebook never goes astray. So I covered and personalised one. Then decided to use some fabric to create a pouch for it. And while I was using the sewing machine why not make a pouch for some pens too.

Here’s the items as she received them.

And here’s what was inside.

Pop back tomorrow and see what I sent Juliette for September.

Bright Blossoms

I’m back today to share yet another of Jenny Moors tutorials that I’ve just completed. I have made some changes in the colours I’ve used to what Jenny used in her tutorial, not because I don’t like the original colours (they are actually some of my favourites) but due to the ribbon retiring in 8 days so I wanted to use something that was carrying over.

I went hunting through the Colour Coach to see what combinations there were that had a ‘green’ in them. There were a couple I was tossing up between but I loved the brightness of the combination I chose. I have gone with Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight.

Stamp Sets: Bright Blossoms, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Card: Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, In Colours Pattern Stack 2011-2013
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Big Shot, Labels Collection Framelits, Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Basic Jewels – Rhinestones, Scallop Edge Border Punch, 1 1/4” & 1 3/8” Circle Punches, Simply Scored Tool & Diagonal Plate, Lucky Limeade 3/8” Ruffled Ribbon.

I’m really enjoying making up these tutorials of Jenny’s. I need to start creating some ‘sets’ of my own though.

Till next time….
