Circle Circus

happy birthday to you

I’m back with another challenge card for you all.

Can you believe it?

Let’s just hope it keeps up as I’m sure you want to see more than just my Design Team commitments posted on here.

So this card is actually combining 2 challenges.

First up is Color Throwdown #235

I’ve teamed this with CAS – Colours & Sketches #18 – Sketch

I’ve made a standard size card rather than a square one as per the sketch but I’ve kept the layout. As soon as I saw the circles I went for my Circle Circus stamp set and this is what I came up with.

Here’s another angle so you can see all the ‘circles’ are popped up.

A very clean and simple card but I love how it turned out.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: Circle Circus, Fabulous Phrases
Card: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals
Accessories: Stampin’ Pierce Mat, Paper-Piercing Tool, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack, 1 3/4” Scallop Punch, 1 3/4” Circle, 1 1/4” Circle, 1” Circle & 3/4” Circle Punches, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inkspirational Challenge Week 3 EOWE

I’m back with my creation for this weeks Inkspirational Challenge. This week it’s a CASE Inkspiration.

I chose a colour combination of Midnight Muse, More Mustard & Rich Razzleberry for my card. I’ve teamed this with Circle Circus and a rub-on for the sentiment.

I started with a Midnight Muse base card (148mm x 210mm) scored in half. I’ve then cut 2 pieces of Midnight Muse for the top layers. One piece is 15mm x 148mm and the second piece is 50mm x 148mm. I have paper-pierced the inside edge on both pieces. I then added the rub-on sentiment to the smaller pieces.

Next up I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock which is 50mm x 148mm. I randomly stamped 5 images from the Circle Circus stamp set using Midnight Muse, More Mustard & Rich Razzleberry inkpads. This piece was then adhered to the base card aligning it approximately 15mm in from the folded edge. This then allowed me to layer the Midnight Muse pieces so they just cover the edges of the stamped piece using Stampin’ Dimensionals with a small border around the outside edge and the base card.

I would have liked a little more ‘texture’ to the top layers of Midnight Muse but I couldn’t find an embossing folder or background stamp that wasn’t too busy for the stamped images so I just left them plain.

I think this is a great ‘male’ style card using this stamp set and may have a play with some other colour combinations.

Pop on over to Inkspirational and join us in the challenge. You have until 11am Wednesday morning (Sydney time) to enter.

Secret Sister – September items.

September was the start of a new catalogue which also meant we’d update our questionnaires with new items on our Wish Lists, our new favourite DSP’s and stamp sets and any other changes. Juliette updated her wish list but didn’t update her dsp and stamp sets so I had to go with my instincts on this months items.

I was a little unorganised in September with school holidays and concentrating on my own orders for new goodies that I forgot to order my items I wanted to send to Juliette until almost mid month so she received all her items at the end of the month.

I sent her gift and 1 card by Express Post and the final card for the month by regular. I hoped they would get there 1 day apart but before the month finished. They did.

Here’s the first card and gifts I sent.

I used the Floral District DSP for this set. The colours in this pattern are Rose Red, Tangerine Tango and Whisper White.

So what are the gifts??

First up is…….

A box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates and some Nescafe Cappuccino Sachets.

What’s in the other little box??

A bottle of each of the Dazzling Details.

That helped Juliette mark 2 items off her wish list.

Unfortunately I forgot to photograph the second card but I’ll see if Juliette can send one to me and I’ll edit the post.

Pop back tomorrow to see the final gift and cards I created and delivered.
