June Stamp-A-Stack

Just a quick post to share my full cards from my June Stamp-A-Stack as I’d previously only shared the snippets.

One set was made using the Clockworks stamp set. I find male cards hard as I don’t make a lot but I was really happy how these turned out.

On the plus side I now have a few Father’s Day cards on hand and also a few male cards suitable for Birthdays.

The next set was one for the ladies using the Summer Silhouettes stamp set.

Both sets contained some retiring (now retired) cardstock & ink colours. Helped me dwindle down my stock.

Supplies:
Clockworks set
Stamp sets: Clockworks, One in a Million, Delightful Dozen
Card: More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Ink: More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze
Accessories: Argyle Embossing Folder, Big Shot

Card: Pretty In Pink, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Pretty In Pink, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Argyle & Fancy Fan Embossing Folders, Big Shot, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Pretty In Pink Dotted Scallop Ribbon.

Inkspirational Challenge #6

This week at Inkspirational we have a Colour Challenge for you.

My first thought upon seeing these colours was to create something ‘male’ themed. We also needed to use something from this months sponsor, Eclectic Anthology, sometime during the month. When I popped over to the site and checked out the ‘freebies’ I found something that I thought would work well. I don’t often make cards for men so I struggle a little with them. However I am happy with my end result.

I have used Perfect Plum for my base card, added a layer of Very Vanilla which I have sponged the edges using Crumb Cake (aka Kraft). To this I have added a triangle cut, Argyle Embossed, piece of Not Quite Navy which again I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I’ve cut an opposing triangle cut piece of Crumb Cake cardstock which I stamped with the En Francais background stamp using Versamark ink. Again I have sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I have wrapped some lined thread around the lower edge of the top layers and knotted. For the final touch I have added some FREE Initials from Eclectic Anthology to say ‘DAD’.

I’ve created a second project for this colour challenge. Actually this one was my first but when I’d finished it I didn’t think it showed the ‘sponsors’ images enough with the other stamping I’d done, so I made the card for my DT entry.  My initial thought with this challenge, as I mentioned, was to created something ‘male’ themed. I had decided to use the FREE Initials and thought they would look great to decorate some bottle caps. I then thought the bottle caps would make a great decoration for a box of cards. Now when I did this post I didn’t have the cards completed, but when they are I will share them.  Here’s my finished card box.

I’ve made the box in Perfect Plum and randomly stamped the background elements stamps from SU Clockworks onto the lid using Versamark. I’ve swiped some Perfect Plum ink over the edges of the lid. Next I added a layer of Not Quite Navy which has been distressed and then swiped some Not Quite Navy ink over the edges. The final layer is Crumb Cake (aka Kraft) which I stamped the images from SU Clockworks in Versamark randomly and then applied chalk over to ‘pop’ the images. I’ve used the retired Stampin’ Up Stampin’ Pastels in Perfect Plum, Not Quite Navy & Crumb Cake using a sponge dauber. I have then distressed the edges and swiped Crumb Cake ink over the edges. The last part to this top layer was to print out the FREE Initials from Eclectic Anthology to spell ‘CARDS’, roll the edges of the bottle caps by running through the Big Shot, adhere the letters to the bottle caps and then I adhered them to the lid.

I hope you’ve like the items I’ve made for this weeks Challenge. I’d love to hear from you if you have.

Pop on over to the Inkspirational blog and check out what the other DT members have created, then get crafting yourself and link up your creation.
