Festival of Trees

Merry Christmas

I’m back today to share my other ‘Festival of Trees’ card.

A little over a week ago I came across this fabulous card by Leonie Schroder. I love how she’d used the Mojo Monday sketch with the stamps set and knew I had to CASE it.

I’ve changed up the colours on mine and I didn’t have the other stamp set she’d used but I love how it turned out.

Lost Lagoon is such a beautiful colour and this paper was perfect. The other coordinating colours that I’ve used are Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White.

This card used a fair few rhinestones so I think if I was making lots I’d substitute the rhinestones on the tree for some Silver Dazzling Details.

Festival of Trees

Yesterday I made time to play with my Stampin’ Up goodies. I haven’t done much of that in a while as you may have realised and I had so much fun.

I have played with the ‘Festival of Trees’ set before for a Workshop Make & Take but silly me forgot to take a photo to share. My demo card went to the Hostess and my sample card I left for one of the ladies who wasn’t able to attend due to some surgery. This is a regular group of ladies so I didn’t want her to miss out on a card. I think I have a spare kit still from that Workshop though so I might have to make that one up again so I can share at another time.

I’m sharing one card with you today and another tomorrow. Both these cards were created for a class I held Wednesday night.

Today’s card was inspired by a card made by Amy White and you can see her original card here.

Here’s my version.

This one, as you can see, is using traditional Christmas colours.
