R for Roses are Red

It’s the 1st of the month so that means we have a new challenge at ABC Challenges.

This time the challenge is ‘R for Roses are Red’. For this challenge we would love to see lots of red and/or roses in your creations.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps.

For my creation I’ve used Bugaboo’s Rosebud Tag image.

I’ve kept my card reasonably plain so the focus is on the Rosebud Tag image.

My image was printed onto Cryogen White cardstock and coloured with the following Copic Markers.

Roses – R29, R27, R24, R22, R20, R0000
Leaves & Stems – G99, YG99, YG97, YG95, YG93, YG11
Shadow – W3, W1, W00

Here’s another angle.

The main image and sentiment are both mounted on Stampin’ Dimensionals to add some depth to the card.

Here’s a close up of the image.

Supplies: (All SU unless specified otherwise)
Stamps: Field Flowers, Rosebud Tag (Bugaboo)
Card: Basic Black, Old Olive, Real Red, Cryogen White (Non-SU)
Ink: Real Red
Accessories: Basic Black 1/8” Taffeta ribbon, Small Oval Punch (retired), Large Oval Punch, Basic Jewels – Pearls, Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Hope you like my card. Please feel free to leave me a comment.

Don’t forget to pop on over to ABC Challenges to see what the rest of the DT have created using Rose images from Bugaboo.

Field Flowers

This card is another CASE but this time for the very creative Lynn Weiss. I really loved Lynn’s card. The colours are gorgeous, the layout is great and the stamp set is just right. It’s just a beautiful creation so go check it out.

I did omit a few things on my card and also changed the sentiment but overall it’s a CASE of Lynn’s card. I demonstrated this at the workshop last Saturday too.

This stamp set, Field Flowers, is one of my favourites from the 2011|2012 Idea Book & Catalogue. I so hope it lasts at least another year so I can put it to lots more use. Last year was pretty much a right off for me creativity wise and this year has started off slower than I was hoping for too. I need to have days where I don’t turn the computer on I think but then I won’t get the blogging side done or I don’t have access to my inspiration from Pinterest, other online sites or challenge blogs. What to do? Discipline I think…
