Tea for Two

It’s time for a new challenge over at ABC Challenges and this time our challenge is ….

Z if for Zebra.

What we want to see for this one is Black & White and/or Stripes.

We have 2 sponsors for this challenge, Bugaboo Stamps and Lili of the Valley, both with some great prizes up for grabs.

Now to be eligible to win a prize or Top 5 pick you need to get creating, upload your entry and make sure to follow our challenge rules.

Now onto my creation for this challenge.

I decided to go the ‘Black & White’ theme and created a 3 item set using the gorgeous Modern Medley DSP from Stampin’ Up!

I purchased a Silhouette Cameo back in August and although it’s had plenty of use it hasn’t been much for me.

Earlier this week I purchased the lovely Tea for You and Me file from svgcuts and knew I had to use it straight away for my Z is for Zebra DT creations.

I love how this turned out.

Here’s another shot of the Teapot, Tea Cup, Saucer & Spoon.

And here’s more photos of the card.

I’ve stamped the gorgeous Little Girls – Tea Time image from Lili of the Valley onto Cryogen White card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I’ve then coloured in Monochromatic Tones of Warm Greys.

Colours used are: W9, W7, W5, W3, W1, W00

Here’s a close up of the Little Girls.

And another…

And lastly the inside of the card.

I’ve left the bottom section blank to write a message on.

There is a tutorial for this style of card here if you would like to make one yourself. I know I’ll be making more.

I’ll definitely be purchasing some more svgcut files too. They are the most organised and professional files I have cut to date.

I’m entering these items in the following challenges:

July Craft Market

We had our 2nd month at the Western Sydney Community Indoor Markets on the 15th July, this time held at the St. Mary’s Memorial Hall. I’ve got to say I just love this location but then we were located just inside the glass doors before you enter the main hall. We had a view out to the car park with the sun shinning. It was very nice.

Here’s some photos of our set up.

That’s Meighan and Sam, who I do the markets with, standing next to my wonderful new Stampin’ Up Banner.

I was set up at the end of the tables on the left. I took along my Simply Scored to make some items while I was there which also allowed potential customers to see the product first hand. I’ve also included a close up of what I had for sale on the day. I’ll share some individual photos of the new items I had for sale this time (you can view the others in this post from the June Markets).

On top of what I had left from the June Markets I made some chocolate and coffee gift boxes, covered notepads with pens and a Cake Mix Gift set.

I won’t be doing the August Market as I’d already paid for our Team Stamp Camp before we found out we had the markets so I’ll be back there in September at the St. Mary’s Memorial Hall on the 16th. As September is the release of the new 2012-2013 Catalogue as well as the Holiday Catalogue we will hopefully have lots of new things to show you that we’ve made along with some new classes and our schedules.

Till next time….

Butterfly Birthday

My eldest daughter has a birthday party to attend for her best friend this afternoon so last night I needed to make up a gift box for her present. I was also asked to make the card. My girls do have a good supply of their own Stampin’ Up goodies but seeing I was making the gift box I’d just make the card to coordinate.

I managed to make the gift box last night which was an idea that came from Sarah Wills’ gorgeous Carton Style gift box which you can see and also download a tutorial for here. Unfortunately my gift box needed to be a little bigger than the one in Sarah’s tutorial so I had to alter how I did mine but the outcome looks just the same. Of course I’ve used different colours, stamps and embellishments too.

Here’s my version of the gift box.

If you’re a regular visitor to my blog you may notice that I’ve used the same colour combination as in my last post creation here. Some of my stamping buddies were looking at this card at our stamp night last night when my daughter was selecting the colour combination for the gift box and when she saw it she wanted those same colours. Seeing how her friends favourite colour is blue the Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight combo would work perfectly.

The completed gift box measures 7.5cm (or 2 15/16”) wide, 7.5cm (or 2 15/16”) deep and 11.5cm (or 4 1/8”) high (not including the handles) which makes for plenty of room for the Nutrimetics gift we’ve packed inside.

I’ve used the Brights Pattern Stack DSP in Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight for layering. The Happy Birthday is from the Punch Bunch Sale-A-Bration set. My daughters friend also likes butterflies so I’ve used the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die for some embellishments and topped it off with some retired Melon Mambo Polka Dot ribbon.

I sat down to make the card this morning and decided to use this weeks Cards & Things Sketch Challenge #64 as my layout for the card.

Here’s the layout provided.

Keeping with the colour scheme, stamp set & embellishments used on the Gift box this is what I created.

Stamp sets: Punch Bunch SAB set, Occassional Quotes
Card: Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Brights Pattern Stack
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: Scallop Square Punch, Wide Oval Punch, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslits die, Big Shot, Retired items – Melon Mambo Polka Dot ribbon, Rectangle hand-held punch.

I think this turned out to be a great gift set.

Till next time…..
