Inkspirational Challenge #10

It’s time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational and this week we have a Colour Challenge for you.

That’s right it’s a ‘GREEN’ Challenge. Of course you can use Neutrals in your creation too. I can’t wait to see what Monochromatic ideas you come up with.

Here’s what I created for the challenge using images from this months sponsor “Inspired by Stamping”.

Supplies: (All SU unless otherwise stated)
Stamp sets: Little Flowers (Inspired by Stamping)
Card: Always Artichoke, Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Very Vanilla, DSP Pattern Stacks – Subtels, Brights & Regals
Ink: Always Artichoke, Old Olive, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Big Shot, Chevron Embossing Folder, Basic Jewels – Pearls, Copic Marker (Non-SU), Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Hop on over to Inkspirational to see what the other DT members have created to inspire you.

Mixed Bunch CASE

I came across a gorgeous card made by Mary Bellis via Stamping to Share through Pinterest and thought it would be a great Make & Take card at the workshop I held this past Tuesday. I loved the colour combination and whole layout of the card that I really haven’t changed a great deal.

Here’s my end creation.

I’ve added an extra centre piece to my main flower which also has a Basic Jewel – Rhinestone added. I’ve also curled the flower petal but you can’t really see that in this picture.

I just think it’s a gorgeous Monochromatic card which could be done in many colour combinations. Colours used are Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze & Whisper White.

Everyone at the Workshop loved it as 7 out of the 8 ordered the stamp set and punch with a few ordering the Little Leaves Sizzlits Die too.

Thank you Mary for sharing your wonderful creation.

I think I’ll be experimenting with this a little more myself.

Till next time….

Thinking of you….

So were you wondering about a post for today????

I really wasn’t sure if I was going to get something done to share today after waking up to a ‘little’ mishap. Someone (I won’t name names but it wasn’t one of the girls in the house) left the freezer open last night after getting an ice block out and seeing how the meat (mainly chicken) had started to defrost, I didn’t want to toss it all so I’ve been cooking a good part of the day along with some shopping to replace the things that did have to be tossed. I’m just thankful I didn’t go and do my bulk meat purchase on Wednesday like I’d originally planned. I guess we have the weather to thank for that as I just didn’t want to leave the house and air conditioning. On the plus side, I now have a couple of casseroles in the freezer for when it cools down a little.

I’ve managed to create one card to share with you tonight. This one is for the Stamping 411 Saturday Sketch Challenge  188.

This it the sketch provided.

I wasn’t sure what stamp set to use for this sketch but I wanted it to be one I hadn’t used, in keeping with my goal.

I decided to use the Growing Green stamp set along with the Woodland Walk DSP.

I’ve gone with a Monochromatic theme for this one.

I’m not sure if I like this one at all though. It has parts that I like but others I don’t.

Maybe if I had of made the card a little larger so there was more Crumb Cake showing on the bottom. I wish we had Chocolate Chip brads rather than the Crumb Cake ones I’ve used too but they looked better than the Very Vanilla.

Maybe it’s just the colours I’m not liking.

I don’t know.  Maybe I’ll have another play with a different stamp set and some other colours.

Till next time….
