Botanical Prints

In ‘normal times’ I get together with a few friends every fortnight and we craft together. Well, sometimes we just have cuppa’s and a chat and maybe watch one of us craft but with everything that has been going on we are now doing a Zoom craft night each fortnight. It’s great to still be able to catch up and ‘see’ each other and I’ve actually been more productive this way. During last weeks catch up I pulled out the Botanical Prints Product Medley from the January – June Mini Catalogue and created a few cards.

Here’s what I created.

To make this card I started with a Basic Black base card. I cut a piece of the Crushed Curry dsp and layered that onto a piece of Whisper White. I then tied some of the Mossy Meadow ribbon from the kit around this piece before mounting to my card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I’ve cut 2 other pieces of dsp from the pack and added them on top. The bottom piece is glued and the top piece I have used Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next I added one of the die cut fruit image pieces using glue. My sentiment has been stamped in Mossy Meadow onto one of the label die cut pieces and then mounted using Stampin’ Dimensionals and for the final touch I’ve added one of the gorgeous little bee embellishments from the kit.

Onto the next card.

Again I have started with a Basic Black base card, cut a piece of the Pretty Peacock dsp and layered onto a piece of Whisper White. I have then wrapped a piece of Basic Black Satin ribbon around and adhered using Mini Glue Dots. This whole piece has then been glued to the base card. I have stamped my sentiment in Pretty Peacock onto one of the label die cuts and mounted to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Final touch again is to add one of the bee embellishments.

Here’s my final card from the night.

This card came about as I wanted to use up the strip of dsp that was left over from the previous card. I am using a base card of Pretty Peacock on this one. Next I have a layer of Basic Black with a layer of Whisper White on top. I’ve added the dsp to the side, die cut a Stitched Shapes circle from Pretty Peacock and added using glue. I then stamped the image onto Whisper White using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut with the coordinating dies from the Product Medley. I then stamped my sentiment using Pretty Peacock onto one of the label die cuts. Both the image and sentiment are mounted using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Final touch was to add some 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots in Pretty Peacock.

I was happy with my nights work while catching up with friends. I’ve actually been getting more done during these Zoom craft nights than I normally do when we get together. Just hope I can keep it up when we do finally get back together in person.

Believe You Can

I’m back today to share another this time using the ‘Believe You Can’ Hostess set.

First up I stamped the image onto Whisper White card using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I have then coloured using Stampin’ Blends in the Brights colour family of colours. I then stamped the ‘Thank You’ sentiment from the set using Poppy Parade ink. This has then been die cut using the Stitched Nested Label Dies. I have also cut a larger Stitched Nested Label die using Poppy Parade card stock. I embossed a piece of Whisper White card using the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder which is mounted to a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock. I have then mounted the Poppy Parade Stitched Nested Label die cut piece to the front of the card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and have then added a piece of Granny Apple Green ribbon across the front and adhered using Mini Glue Dots. Next I mounted this piece to a Whisper White card base. The main image piece was added next mounting with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the ribbon. My last step was to add a bow using the Granny Apple Green Ribbon which is adhered using a Mini Glue Dot.
