True Friends yet again….

I just love this set. I was so happy it made it into our mini catalogue but I’ve probably mentioned that already.

I made these 2 cards last Saturday evening for a Sketch Challenge that we do on one of the Yahoo groups I’m in.

True Friends 3

This is the 1st card I made which I’m really happy with. I really like this colour combo. Just a shame that the DSP I’ve used was from the Sampler Promotion pack a few months back but I’m thinking that the Polka Dot background stamp, stamped in Whisper White craft ink onto the Almost Amethyst Cardstock may give a similar result. I’ll have to try it and show you how it turns out.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: True Friends, Short & Sweet
Card: Always Artichoke, Lovely Lilac, Very Vanilla, Almost Amethyst DSP
Ink: Always Artichoke, Almost Amethyst & Lovely Lilac Markers, Always Artichoke inkpad
Accessories: Always Artichoke 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon, Tool Kit, Pretties Kit, Stampin’ Dimensionals

True Friends 2

I then made the card up using some of the Apple Cider paper and coordinating cardstock. As we don’t have In Colour Markers I made my own Wild Wasabi and River Rock markers using a blender pen and reinker. I think I need a bit more ink in the Wild Wasabi but it’s still okay.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: True Friends, Short & Sweet
Card: Wild Wasabi, Really Rust, Very Vanilla, Apple Cider DSP
Ink: Really Rust, Wild Wasabi & River Rock Markers, Wild Wasabi Inkpad
Accessories: River Rock double-stitched ribbon, Tool Kit, Pretties Kit, Stampin’ Dimensionals.

True Friend set

I made a card wallet back in January when Sale-a-bration was on which I had altered to fit Australian standard sized cards from a tutorial by Michele Force. Well I was going to link back to my original adapted creation but have just discovered that I didn’t post it. Whoops…..

Well anyway, I was playing around with my True Friend stamp set recently and wanted to create another 3 cards to go with this card, using the coordinating wheel and DSP all available from the Spring Mini Catalogue and also give each a different card colour which coordinates with the DSP. Once I had the cards made I decided I would make a matching card wallet to fit them in. I adapted the pattern, yet again, to have a ribbon handle and a velcro closure rather than a belly band.

Would you like to see them????

Okay, here they are.

True Friend Card Bag & Cards 1

This was hard to photograph and include as much of the cards as possible so I’ll include each item separately for a closer look and list the supplies for each.

This was the first card I made obviously as I mentioned I had posted it before.

The main difference between this card wallet and my Cute Little Card Bag is the number of cards it will hold. This card wallet will only hold these 4 cards and envelopes comfortably. The Cute Little Card Bag will hold quite a lot more.

True Friend and a new Mini

That’s right there is a new Mini about to be released. As a demonstrator you get the month prior to preorder so you can whip us some samples and prepare workshops, classes, etc.  Not a lot of that happening here as you may have read in my last post but it’s still fun to play…..

The new Mini is due to be released on the 1st August and will continue until 30th November. I will be sending out copies of the mini catalogue on Monday to my customers so if you don’t yet have a copy and would like one please email me with your information and I’ll get one out to you on Monday too.

I would have to go as far as saying that this mini catalogue, the Spring Mini is by far the best mini ever. I’ve really had to contain myself from rushing in and buying one of everything during our preorder period. I do have a few though already…shhhhh so know I just have to make time and get cracking with some creations to share and entice you all.

One of the sets that made the mini catalogue is True Friends. I was so happy this made it as I have wanted this set for some time since seeing it in the US catalogue but of course the only way we can purchase it is if it makes it to Australia. You have probably gathered by now that this set was one of my first purchases so of course it is also my first share with you all.

True Friends 1

Along with the stamp set we also have the co-ordinating Designer Series Papers called Apple Cider. I’ve used a touch of one in this card and then tied River Rock double stitched ribbon on top. Oh and another thing is that a few of the new In Colours co-ordinate with this paper too.

One thing I haven’t yet told you about the Spring Mini stamp sets is that they are all die-cut. How wonderful is that? You can all be stamping with your new sets the same day they are delivered.

Supplies:
Stamp sets: True Friends, Occasional Greetings
Paper: Close to Cocoa, River Rock, Wild Wasabi, Very Vanilla
Ink: Close to Cocoa, River Rock, Really Rust marker, Wild Wasabi Marker*
Accessories: River Rock double-stitched ribbon, Antique Brass Hodgepodge, Small Corner Rounder Punch, Small Oval Punch, Paper Piercing template & tool (Tool Kit), sponge dauber.

*Wild Wasabi Marker is made using a blender pen and reinker.
